Some Feminists Hate Men
From "Shut Up, Sit Down": Some Feminists Hate Men
“Don’t worry, feminists don’t hate men!” is a statement I have heard several times in defence of feminism, usually after the old stereotype has been trotted out of all feminists being man-haters. “Don’t worry, feminists don’t hate men!” is used by women who are feeling attacked and feel the need to prove that feminists are reasonable people, rational and not at all scary.
But the thing is that just like some of us really are fat, ugly, hairy-legged and shaven-headed (and proud and comfortable with this appearance), some of us really do hate men. I have known for a long time that I hate men. This post was inspired by a ‘real-life’ radical feminist friend of mine who has only recently become comfortable in the fact that she hates men - she thought that if she admitted it to herself before, she was somehow doing a disservice to feminism by upholding the stereotypes. I am immensely proud of her because by admitting her hatred, she is not doing feminism a disservice - she is doing good for all feminists, by feeling able to voice something that many feel but few speak of.
There are men in my life, as any regular readers here will know. My father is a man, my boyfriend is a man, my best friend is a man and my son is a future man. These individual men I love dearly. There are a couple of other men I consider friends. But love for an individual from a group is not the same as love for the group. I love a few individual males - but men as a gender, men as a ’species’, have nothing but my contempt and suspicion.
For what reason would I, or any other woman, have for liking men? One in four of them are rapists. They have many, many privileges over us, they are favoured in just about every walk of life. Every man is a potential attacker to a woman who does not know his intentions, every unknown man (and even known men) is capable of becoming violent, abusive or cruel, and the statistics on male violence shows that it is not just possible, it is likely.
I hate men, and I am not ashamed of saying so. Aside from the few who have proved their love and friendship to be worthwhile, I will continue to hate men, to be suspicious of them until they prove that there is no longer a need for my hatred or suspicion.Subscribe to my accounts on DocStoc, Scribd, Twitter and YouTube.

Re: Some Feminists Hate Men
Since all the men she doesn't know are are potential rapists and to be hated and feared (and when you get right down to it, it's 100% fear that causes her attitude), I have to wonder how she found her boyfriend and the father of her child? (I'm assuming that's two different penis-bearers, by the way).

Re: Some Feminists Hate Men
Well, clearly she was intimidated into calling him a boyfriend and must have been raped (first with his eyes & mind, then physically, and entirely against her will...) - right?

Actually - according to the Courts in Weimar Amerika - it is legally held to be "Not Reasonable" to believe that Feminist s(and particularly self avowed "DYKES") Hate Men...
Which shows the level of reason of our Turkey Baster Creationist Courts...

NOW MAD AT MEN???

"Fight the Right' march forges rare alliance of feminists, blacks
S.F. HOSTS WOMEN'S MARCH by Carol Ness, OF THE EXAMINER STAFF April 12, 1996
(04-12) 04:00 PDT SAN FRANCISCO -- When the National Organization for Women kicks off its "Fight the Right" march Sunday in San Francisco, the Rev. Carieta Cain will be on the front lines - a first for this African American pastor.
Like many others joining the march, Cain has been a longtime fighter for civil rights. But she's never before officially allied herself with NOW, the prominent feminist group. Mistrust between African American and feminist groups is historic and ongoing...
West Coast predominates - The march is billed as national, but most people taking part are expected to come from the West. NOW refused to say how big a crowd it's hoping for...
Important holdouts - The alliance has some major holdouts. The California NAACP has refused to back the march or ally itself with NOW because of hard feelings exacerbated by statements made by NOW Southern California spokeswoman Tammy Bruce after the O.J. Simpson trial. Her view that race issues overshadowed the issue of violence against women was seen as racist.
NOW chastised Bruce, but the fact that she is still a NOW spokeswoman kept the state and national NAACP from even nominal support, sources said....
Different issues - This time, some African Americans and others, while supporting the march's goals, resisted signing on for all that NOW stands for, including abortion rights, support of gay rights, and in many eyes "white feminism," Dillon said.
"I asked, "What is it that people really think about NOW? Do you think white feminism? Man-hating?'...
It's difficult for African American women to align with NOW, she added, because "NOW appears to be mad at their men and I guess rightfully so. We're trying to reconcile ourselves with our men."

Re: Some Feminists Hate Men
Actually, it's sites like this and your (plural) apparent hatred for women in general that causes this type of attitude.

Disclaimer:The men's and fathers' movement needs to make sure it never sees females as the enemy, but only misandry--whether from females or from males. If not, we'll become like the bigoted feminists that this movement was formed to oppose.Glenn Sacks

Re: Some Feminists Hate Men
You have the cause and effect back to front.
This site is a 'reaction' to the prevalent, fashionable and legitimate hatred of men (misandry) that has reached epidemic proportions - witnessed throughout society, the media, academia and enshrined in law itself.
Can you cite any examples of "and your (plural) apparent hatred for women in general"? I'm assuming the 'plural' essentially labels all the men here as hating women? Now that's a clear example of bigoted sexism!
There's a BIG difference between hating feminism and misandrists, and hating women in general.
You've only been here less than a day, and in your first few posts, without probably reading little, if anything, you arrive at a biased and disjointed conclusion.
It's usually courteous to at least feign having read some of the material here, and/or made a number of posts before launching into an attack. To do otherwise (as YOU have done) one might rightfully conclude you to be a agitating troll.Last edited by Celtic Druid; 15th-September-2008 at 10:38 PM.

Re: Some Feminists Hate Men
Mojo is the typical product of the western feminit system where they are so sated with privilege and preferential treatment and exemption from any thing life threatening and arduous that they like all spoilt folk see themselves as hard done by and just want more !!!!
to paraphrase JFK the feminit creed could be
" ask not what I can do for you but rather what you can do for me - or else"

Oh, the old one-out-of-four lie. Didn't Christina Hoff-Sommers show that that figure was seriously skewed?

I feel truly sorry for her son. How is it beneficial for him to be raised by a mother who claims to love him personally, yet hate the gender to which he belongs? That seems to make her per se unfit to raise a boy -- yet of course no family law judge would agree.
