This is only a quick post, and likely only of interest to those in the UK.

I was watching the television today when I saw an advert for Capital One Credit Cards. Apparently, this advert has been shown a few times before.

The advert basically shows two women jogging round a park, whilst a man is dragged along the ground, holding a one of the women’s legs. The man is meant to symbolise the issue of high interest rates of other cards, and is conveniently “disposed of” by the woman. The advert ends with the guy being left in a bin, where he asks “What’s in your wallet?”, very much in the style of an emasculated gimp.

Would this advert be tolerated if a woman was being dragged behind two men, whilst they casually strolled around, discussing their finances? Would the fems be quiet if one of their blessed double X’ers was left in a bin, thoroughly disgruntled?! I very much doubt it!
