I think what I was trying to expose was the states power in a person's life and the inability to combat it.
As mra's we are all in this position iether directly or indirectly.
Depends how one looks at things(or doesn't),I guess.

Every manosphere site that does not have a decent moderation policy is vandalised by these paranoid schizophrenics, one after the other (well, maybe not by the scientologists). There are plenty of places on the net to bewail atheism, evolution, statism, big pharma, and thetans. Can these off-topic threads be locked, with a polite "please take this discussion to answersingenesis.net", and repeat offenders suspended? It's reaching the point that following the RSS is just not worth it.Quote from Moi

WTF?
"If Blizzard expects you to be always online to play their game. Then Blizzard need to always be online whenever you want to play it."- Unknown internet poster
MrWombat, I've read the general argument you posit as outlined in the link provided.
As much as I and the admin team do our best to keep the 'anti-misandry' direction pure and focused, you'll always get trolls, agitators, Trojan horses, attention whores etc, wherever you reside on the internet - deliberately spoiling the intended path. That said, through experience, you'd be surprised how many get banned within the first to a handful of posts that nobody else is ever aware of.
Also, I know if the forum was so acutely focused on one theme, the membership would dwindle dramatically, and thus it's potential potency. The men (metaphorically) need more than bread and water! Not only that, I believe in having a membership which is conversant with a wide range of 'non-subjects,' which adds value to what an MRA can contribute in terms of quality and informed input.
Personally, from my experience, I believe it's counter-productive to disassociate certain members because they have contrary political, religious and personal standpoints. The Roman's learned to embrace everybody's differences, so that come the day of battle, everybody felt included, and fought the 'common enemy' as one. A lesson for us all!
The disruptive persons you mention (being assessed for a timely dispatch), only account for a tiny fraction, which is swallowed up by the good intentions of the vast majority. It is the itch on the arse of the growing MRA behemoth. Inconsequential in the whole scheme of things!

It's all connected. Everything effects everything else. There is no way around it. The trick is to see the pattern, and then to understand what must be done.

I do remember once attempting to create a "spoof" off topic thread to bring attention to what was then an even more off topic place than it is now.. With seemingly every other post being a music video or a discussion on adam and eve or whatever..
But, no one noticed the jest.. They just contributed enthusiastically to my "which is your favourite big tool?" thread..
So perhaps, nothing is really off topic, until a few folks say it is?

Ok,you people have me really confused.
Was it my topic that is out of place or someone else?
I am getting mixed messages here.
Seriously OD.. I have never noted you post anything remotely "off topic".. You may offend in some ways, but I'd never hold a charge of "off topic" at you!

But I live to offend, was my purpose in life.
That is good to hear OD.. I hate to feel alone in that regard!
