There is already a "report" button, but "report" is supposed to be only for very serious things. We need a "Request Admin Task" button for less serious things like duplicate and triplicate posts which need to be deleted, so when people come across the duplicate and triplicate posts, they can simply click the "Request Admin Task" button so that the admins can know about the duplicate and triplicate posts, and can then delete them.

Excellent point, Luke. Especially as this forum has areas that are inundated with triplicate posts and the like... Creating it might be awkward though, but I may be able to find something to act in such a manner... in the meantime, please use the 'report post' function. Upon reporting a post, you're offered an input box to explain why you're reporting - that information is given to the admins who can then act on that information. So, if you did report one with triplication or such, just a note 'double/triple post' would suffice, an admin can click the link directly and see it is right... then delete it as necessary... Very thoughtful & observant point, cheers

Hang on a sec, As a moderator of a couple of Net forums, isn't it the job of moderators to delete dual/multiple posts, merely by checking recent threads? In a good forum site double posts should never be seen. No dis-respect here, if the software is to blame.
"I am most anxious to enlist everyone who can speak or write to join in checking this mad, wicked folly of 'Women's Rights', with all its attendant horrors, on which her poor feeble sex is bent, forgetting every sense of womanly feelings and propriety. Feminists ought to get a good whipping. Were woman to 'unsex' themselves by claiming equality with men, they would become the most hateful, heathen and disgusting of beings, and would surely perish without male protection." -- Queen Victoria, 1870.

You do have a valid point, and under normal circumstances double or triple posts wouldn't normally be seen... Believe it or not, all the mutliple threads are not new ones, they're always over a year old. However, this site is a good couple of years old and even prior to this site the same forum (under different sofware & domain) was ongoing for a while... When I bought this software and domain I had to convert all the previous posts, threads, polls, etc. over to a format this software could understand and work with so as not to lose all the previous content. This is where the multiple posts come from... while the server was copying content from one database to another, a glitch or two occurred - the only way to get out of the hung state was to refresh the whole page. Each page does approximately 500 posts. Upon refreshing, it starts over from the top to bottom - regardless of whether it's the first 10, 50, 200 or not. These glitches unfortunately occured more than once. Then account that this site has been moved from database to database a few times (usually because of slow site response, etc.) and you will hopefully see that double & triple posts can actually occur quite easily during transition. As main admin, I personally deleted hundreds of double posts myself... one or two other admins have emailed/pm'd me and asked how to go about this task, so I know at least a couple other admins have gone to town on removing double posts too. The problem is, that becuase I have no record of specifically which posts are duplicated, it's almost impossible to know where to look UNTIL I happen upon them myself, or as in this case, someone points them out to me. I'm sure you can imagine, the older the posts, the more likely it is to be difficult to find. And that's why a few will crop up now and then... it's not laziness on the admin's side - it's glitches' on the server side more than anything. But here, have a banana anyway.

Karl, Don't stress over it, mate, worse things have happened at sea. The fact that this site is still working and has a good cadre here is in my opinion, a tip of my hat towards you. You've done bloody well!.
