i am asking for the site admins to put to the punters clear guidelines as to their moderation policy so that the punters know where they stand. i for one thing the use of "reputation" negging by moderators is pretty damned stupid.. For one thing, what is the fucking point of a moderator negging a poster when the poster cannot even tell if he was negged by a mod or any other adversery? For another thing, its a "punishement without prior warning".. And, for another, why do two negs with the same comment? Double the hit? Now, I trust that marx and his team will be able to get the issues sorted and this site will move from being one of the WORST moderated sites I have seen, to something a bit further up the food chain.. Moderation standards should be applied fairly across the board, if personal attacks are to be subject to moderation, then apply them fairly.. Disagreement on philosophical stance is hardly a reason for hitting someone.. Unless it is the case that this site is determined to go down one particular avenue.. The statist approach.. In which case, make it clear that that is what the site policy is and dont pretend otherwise.. Just my tuppence worth! | |||

it's not punishment .. it's a 'quickview' of how much respect a member does, or doesn't have. If members are happy to be known for the rep comments, they can put their name in the comment (neg & plus) Quote:

This is kinda funny now. I have spat the dummy also over rep points but then I found out you can turn them off. Catch is that you have to give a donation to the site. That doesn't seem like too much to do but then I don't know how you give money from overseas. I don't like using credit cards over the net. But then you can always see it as a challenge. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Hello Julie To turn off reputation, you need only access your control panel (top left) and it can be set to "Do not show..." The donation to the site is a different issue, that would enable members to see which members had left the reputation with a link to that members profile. Donations do not cover the 'on off' status, that is automatic ![]() As for 'how', well under most adverts is a 'click here to remove ads' hyperlink which takes you to a paypal page where you get a year's access to additional goodies
