Newbie to AM and unsure how many other women are there besides me at the moment. Know AM started out as men forums, but ladies of AM need their own section as well.

Hi, welcome to the board.

While there are a fair number of female board members, I honestly don't think a section devoted specifically to women would be appropriate on this board. If I want to engage in "girl talk", I'll go hang out on a board geared toward women.

I don't claim to be qualified to define this board or the board owner's vision or purpose for it, but I will say that I believe it's meant to be a safe haven for men and a place to promote and discuss issues and concerns of men. While women are welcome to come here and join in, I think it would be counter to the board's purpose to dedicate a section specifically for them.

Why in the hell would we need a female only section here? That doesn't make any sense at all.

Thanx for the welcomin me to AM. Understand were you are coming from on this, but at the same time I totally think it can be unisex forums as well. Not mainly for one sex over the other.

By doing your request below, it would contradict the above. A female only zone isn't foreseeable.

A female only section? I've stumbled upon dozens of forums with a female only section but NO male only section. You call that fair?

There are already so many female only places to go to, the TV media is predominately geared towards women nowadays, lots of gossip, uneducational magazines etc, but not nearly as many men only areas.

I don't want to know what other requests you have in your entitled princess mind.
