I've seen this behavior many times before. Man provides rational argument that chick knows nothing about. Chick objects, she has to be right, she is female. Man must be wrong or lying because he is male and that is evil. Chick admits she has no idea what she is talking about, but must STILL be correct because she female and therefore morally superior.

It's because it's true. I've actually experienced this MANY times before! Even if they are proved wrong they will make excuses that had nothing to do with argument!

Meh. I'm as happy to attribute this to religiosity as to sex. Over in india, they had a statue of Gansesh that was miraculously drinking the milk being offered to it. Any idiot could *see* the milk running down it's trunk and pooling at the bottom. But they saw what they believed.

The behavior she displayed is the type of behavior we used to overlook as women being women but now that we see the harm their destructive behavior causes I believe that this behavior will no longer be overlooked by many men but criticized. They will have less partners to choose from due to their behavior too.

She might as well be crossing her arms and pouting like a lil brat, coming off from that comment.

Instead of that immature response, she could of just said thank you for the information and go on her way gracefully. There are ways to handle yourself without being an ass.

An earth quake can move quite a bit of earth. No reason why it can't adjust the orbit a few feet.

Conservation of momentum. Think about it for a second.

An earthquake absolutely cannot change the momentum (mass*velocity) of the earth unless it actually ejects some mass off into space, just as an astronaut cannot propel themselves through space without ejecting mass in the direction opposite to which they want to go. The earth might wobble after an earthquake, but its centre of gravity (or the centre of gravity of the earth/moon pair) will continue to follow the same orbit around the sun.

In a similar vein, it's not possible to extract energy from the rotational inertia of the earth by moving masses about on the surface along a closed path.

Why should women take personal responsibility as long as they don't have to? They have no code of honor. We can't expect them to do the decent thing, as they've given us no reason to expect that. Women will only be as good as society tells them to be. Right now, society tells them they can have their way.

On the Australian TV news I've just had to witness an Australian female swimmer blubbering uncontrollably after her final in which she jumped the gun, fell in, got disqualified and ...... oh no wait a minute, she raced and won SILVER! But after setting a fast time in the qualifying she was expecting, and was expected, to win Gold. After training for so many years she felt that she was entitled to the Gold, hence the blubbering.

Like the dopey chick above, this swimmer needs to learn how to accept defeat with dignity.

You cannot be "Equal but special". Too many groups, especially women, try to do that, and it doesn't work.

Tis a common excuse... While I have seen arrogant men do this (this is a human thing) woman tend to do it much more. She believes she is right because of who she is (a woman). Many men are aware of this so there are a million Ms Right jokes out there... John had the perfect outline of what happens, with the exception that it is all subconscious, she believes she is inherently right even when she is not. In addition she seems like a typical blind religious person (not willing to accept reason or debate but just wants to preach a trending mantra). I identify myself as Christian but I am appalled at the level of narrow-mindedness that seems to exist in many christian subcultures...
