It is shocking to see how the justice system is under a thorough abuse by the UK. courts when making skewed order that help nobody, least of all the criminal. Let us take the recent case of the woman who was convicted 207 times before she was put in prison as an example.
There are no published figures on how much in legal aid this criminal has been awarded. It is part of the secrecy that makes the UK. judicial system utterly impenetrable. Hence, let us assume that every conviction may have cost on average £5000, in line with the costs of divorce for a man. If those convinctions were multyplied by the costs incurred, the bill will amount to £1.035.000, without including the costs to the police in arresting, charging, and keeping her in a police jail while they proccess the paper work.
This is just one criminal. How many more like her there are out there, nobody knows. Probably it is not worth to learn the ugly truth. The tax payer meanwhile is blissfully kept out of this information.
Far more worryingly is the fact that crime is on the rise. The future criminals are put in the fast track to become a felon by social services sending them to court while still being children. It is also to be considered the consecuences of future riots that will swamp the prisons in the country.
If judges do not clean their act fast, the whole thing will just fall apart.

So, conforming with Thomas Jefferson the rule of the majority, as required by democratic principles, should not be allowed. The principles of Democracy are not there to oppress people. The last time democratic principles were not allowed to rule happened when a totalitarian system was in power. As a consecuence, fifty five million lost their lives in Europe in a war effected by a minority over a majority.
The stetament by Thomas Jefferson is likely to be out of context. The impossition of laws by a majority upon a minority is not oppression, hence not a crime, nor breaks up the foundations of society.
What truly is breaking up the foundations of society is the support minorities are getting when demanding laws that catter for minorities who have no sense of social responsibilities. This minorities demand protection for their own selfish ways, and be supported by the whole of society, regardless of what democratic principles teach us.
