    Big Time Parenting Fail

    1. Where are their parents?
    2. Why did the parents consent to those outfits?
    3. Is that song really appropriate for them to dance to?!

I can't answer those questions Poke. This is honestly just very sad and I think the saddest thing about it is that these little girls actually seem to be fairly talented and it's not like they could have turned around and done this all in a matter of minutes; I mean honestly think how hard they had to have worked to get all these moves down, and everything else, and in the end the result was all just a disgusting freak-show. Would that this energy had been funnelled into some legitimate end; can't these girls dance (Ballroom, Ballet, something!) without looking and moving like cheap sluts in some rap video? Jesus Christ, it's just sad. And thinking on that note, considering they probably had to practise for so long, learn so much, all the while there were adults looking over their shoulders and nobody questioned any of this, nobody said 'Hey, maybe we shouldn't encourage our girls to dance like this, and wear these kind of outfits. What kind of legitimate career can any of this lead too?' but no, clearly this hasn't been thought of.

I don't know why but in my experience single mothers seem to like dressing up their daughters in sexy clothes.

It's fathers who are more protective and object to their daughters dressing like this.

Oh and BTW, it's getting harder and harder to dress your daughter in respectable clothing because the clothing itself is getting harder to find. Since women do most of the shopping....

My dad doesn't like me wearing outfits that show too much cleavage. Other than that, he doesn't mind what I wear.

Speaking of dumbass fashion moments, my mom told me that a jacket I wore did not look good with the clothes I wearing. The dumbass factor: I WAS ONLY going to my dad's house!

Sometimes I do not like to show my mom what I am wearing, because we end up at odds over it. We're just going to the fucking mall! It's not like anybody at Old Navy cares about what I'm wearing!

Christ, now that I've watched that video, I'm expecting the feds to kick my door down and seize my computer.
This is that really ugly side of America that rears it's head now and again, like the beauty pageants they have for 8 year olds or younger, sick, sick, sick.

I remember Dolly Parton was on the Frank Skinner show years ago, he showed her footage of one of those pageants where the young girls were dressed up as her, she looked a little awkward at first and then said "That's kinda creepy", spot on Dolly, it's as creepy as creepy can get.

I think too many fathers turn a blind eye, or are being told by the mother that it's OK, and assume because it's girls they probably don't understand, and shame on them.
More shame though on the mothers, dressing their daughters up like 2-Bob whores, way to teach them about self respect.

As adults, why the Hell can't we just allow children to be children? If they're wearing make-up, they're not being children, I really don't understand this mentality.
Children tend to be cute by default, just like young animals tend to be cute by default, putting make-up and grown up clothes on them just makes them look deformed in some way.

Move away from the parents for a second, look at the TV, look at Beyonce being all respectful-like with her bikini and high heels, sending the message that if a man at the club, whom you've just fucking met, likes you, demand that he buy you a ring first to prove it, what a trollop.
Then we have yet another skank singing about being attracted to bad boys, again hardly wearing a stitch.
And let's not forget that it's mainly young girls who are listening to "My body's too bootylicious for you" and my own personal favourite (NOT) "My lumps will make you spend your money on me", and watching videos where scantily-clad women in heels are demanding that girls be respected (how ironic) so it's really no surprise that they end up like the ones in the video in the first post, they're not encouraged at any point in their lives to use their intelligence, wit, ingenuity, or communication skills, it's all about how you shake your booty, I weep for the future.

    The song:

    You like me.

You went out of your way to get to know me.

You liked me so much you wanted to be intimate friends.

    You wanted to Love me.

Now my boyfriend's back and I can play 'Let's you and him fight'.

Chances are the father's been kicked to the curb already or atleast he knows his opinion means nothing. The last 40 years men have been taught that fathers are unimportant and that a fathers word is usually wrong. Think about all the TV shows that show father being too stupid to help the kids with anything and mother having to come clean up his mess when he tries.

So true, and little girls are absorbing this message thinking it's the proper way to deal with matters out of hand; I've done the whole 'down and out,' thing and I know the world can be a violent place, and I know men have a capacity for violence which I've seen first hand, but for the most part what I've seen had some rational motive behind it. Although all violence is certainly regrettable it is not necessarily senseless and can achieve a goal or serve a purpose; only when women are involved, as I understand it, does violence truly become 'senseless,' serving no end but some personal irrelevancy like ego or revenge. I have never seen a man, never known a man, who's capacity for vengeance even equalled that of the average woman, which is to literally say if I took the most moral woman I know she would be more permissive and supporting of the idea of revenge than the least moral man I know. I wonder why this is. In regards to ego, the least egotistical women I know think more highly of themselves than do all the men I know collectively. Such is the damage wreaked by our modern day 'culture of women,' in it's glorious promotion of dysfunction and immorality.

So many women seem to be so machiavellian. The world all but expects, trains them to be; womanhood is becoming more and more synonymous with all manner of negative qualities yet when we see a sex maligned it is often men. Men are the 'bad guys,' but this puts them in a constant state of what essentially amounts to a kind of personal, spiritual rehabilitation men are trying desperately to purge themselves of the flaws society has affixed to them and thus we see man's nobility increasing in a strange manner and against all odds.

More is expected of a man. Nothing is expected of women; the joke, in the end, is at their expense.

My 15 year old cousin dresses inappropriate, and her parents don't seem to pay much attention (and they live together). I think the problem is that neither of them do/did much concerning the matter. But my cousin and her sister are a bit spoiled, so that may be a link...

Sometimes I wonder if parents really have any say in how kids are raised these days..

I know for a fact, as a father, it is practically impossible to have any say in the matter..

And so many mothers seem to just indulge their kids, producing spoilt little shits who don't know how to behave..

    Crazy.

Many children today are taught their morals by the media.
