IMO he is an ATG middleweight great
he labored in obscurity until the 93 Jones bout............he is one of the rare fighters who got better with age, scoring his career defining win against felix "tito" Trinidad at 36, following it up by wins against winky wright, ODLH, Tarver and two close losses to Jermain Taylor
his last fight was a controversial loss to englishman joe calzhage

There is no doubt in my mind he is one of the most underrated boxers. He paid his dues like a true warrior and improved with age. Great skill in terms of both inside and outside work. DLH opted to stay down after the body punch, screaming like a bitch and rolling around, ending his little show in the ass-up, face-down position. Why? Because Hop outclassed and scared the crap out of DLH, who new he was going to be exposed and look like a baffoon if he got back up.

All anyone needs to do is look at Hops record, the quality of fighters he has fought, and the amount of time he has been doing it. An accomplished, well-rounded fighter and if boxing history does him justice, he will be recognized as one of the best and one of the most underrated.

Oh yeah, and I think Hop got robbed in the Cal fight, but it was his own fault for not being offensive enough.
