Sometimes we read a thread that's dear to our hearts and wax lyrical. We might make side-notes or links to URL's in Wordpad or whatever. And often we compose the main thrust of our argument on-line and send it for preview. We sit in graceful repose waiting for our words of wisdom to appear before our eyes. 'Page cannot be displayed' is an insult to our manhood. Clicking the 'back-button' confirms our worst suspicions. Everything has evaporated. The frailties of modern technology are a useful reminder. Men may seek the assistance of their brothers, but when push comes to shove, we're on our own. The traditional male weapons in the sex war are non-cooperation and flight.The traditional female weapon is celebration of paternity and male responsibility. If women now choose to define this as patriarchal oppression, they are throwing away their best trick. Alas....this happens Yan Yan.... (BTW -I used to be " D r a b " ) I intended to use word pad and then just risk it. You missed my best post ever it just vanished into the void that is the space between the web!LOL! No matter this still is a fine site and has informed and made me laugh. It prevents me from turning into the green thing. - Marx has done a great job in the face of this and all manner of adversity!!!This damn doggedness of itself ought to encourage us all!!! We are on our own for now.You never know though we may some day have our very own council of Elrond.In our very own Rivendell. I live in hope!

I have a resolve and it will soon be permenant. Due to recent events that many know of (though the details they do not) we were attacked, and that has caused much concern. The site is now organised in a very different manner, though to the naked eye - there is no tangible differences to observe. Be assured though, under the bonnet (hood to our American friends) much has changed. That aside, I am awaiting a much needed 'upgrade'. It is on it's way...
