well seeing as i cannot get a serious answer from the admin-i must bid farewell to this site,as i cannot get rid of what-ever or who-ever it is,that is watching me and my movements here.
This is a serious matter to me and it should also be a serious matter to this site ..........unless there is a reason it is not?
It is sad that admin. thinks that i am joking and not deserving of a decent answer to my concerns.
I hope to be able to read the posts with-out logging in or posting my-self anymore.

But, regards your problem, I doubt very much you need be concerned unduly.

I would hardly think that if the state was spying on you, they would see any point in coming here, this is an innocuos site really, its not like it is the headquarters of the antifeminist al-queda

I don't know anything about this case. In any way you're unnecessarily overreacting as it cannot even be harmful. It's not like some monster is coming after you. You think secret agencies don't spy on the general populace such as you?

Outdoors, no one else seems to be suffering the same issues as you have explained. HOWEVER, you mention your a/v package reports "spyware". You may not be aware, but some a/v packages will report standard cookies - as used by this site - as being 'spyware'.

That may sound odd, but it's true - and technically, they're right.


Cookies are locally held records - designed to help the user with basics such as typing in a password.

For example, I have my account here set to 'remember me'. So when I open this site up in my browser I do not need to log in - the cookie automatically fills in the information (username / password) and hey presto, I'm signed in within a millisecond of opening the url.

Because cookies don't always need permission to write to a file (the cookie), some ... trigger-happy a/v packages (or antispyware) may report sites to the computer owner (yourself) when it is not necessary.

One of the reasons this happens is because some of the trigger-happy ones want you to think they're doing a grand job - when really, they're just over-reporting and creating work so they 'look busy'.

Nonetheless, I'll run a report up on the site and inspect the files.

As far as administrators go, we have no desire to 'spy' on anyone. Doing so would require massive rewriting of the system, which I'm unable and unwilling to do.

I'm not saying *YOU* are paranoid, but I think the software you use maybe a bit.... shit.

The problem is Trend Microcillin. This software was on my computer too, and it flagged a site as infected with spyware whenever it was MRA-related. As soon as I uninstalled that software, the problem went away. Somebody, probably opponents of MRA issues, probably flagged our sites as promoting spyware or viruses, and Trend Micro didn't investigate. They instead updated their virus definitions and flagged the site as harmful. It is then up to the site owner to file a protest with Trend Micro and ask to be removed from the blacklist, a process which can take weeks.

But you, the end user, can eliminate the problem by switching to a different anti-spyware package. Here's how you can get an alternative anti-spyware package, completely free, and endorsed by a major and reputable company (Google):

1. Go to http://www.google.com/
2. In the top menu, click on "more," then in the submenu, click on "even more"
3. Scroll to the bottom. In the bottom right, click on "Pack" (under the heading "Make your computer work better")
4. A box full of checkboxes will be at the top. Uncheck everything, except keep the boxes checked for "Norton Security Scan" and "Spyware Doctor" (these are totally free, not trial versions).
5. Click on the "Download now" button.

marx--i do not think anyone here is spying on me--but with my activities as an mra,they may have attracted someone who is--ever wonder why MAUS has disapeared from the radar? I sure do..

go to Comodo.com and download the free firewall and antivirus its the best hands down. Also download truecrypt if you have important things on your machine.
I don't think anyone os spying on you except the police and THEM

Remember people there is such a thing as false positives. ;)
