Truths are based on beliefs. People used to believe the world is flat, now we believe it's round.
Truth isn't determined by what people believe.
When I do this, and I know I will, it will be comparable to the lame learning to walk, the blind being enabled to see and the suffocated breathing again. The sky isn't the limit; there are no limits.

Religion would have us back to being slaves to women. Religion and chivalry go hand in hand. I am not so sure we can get back there even if we wanted to.
    Sorry to disagree Garak.
Religion has to have something in it for everybody at the right place and time or it doessn't get off the ground.
Faiths that appeal to women promise them security.
Faiths that appeal to men promise salvation.

The only infallible test of a religion is not really "truth" - it's whether or not it works in practice.

Your testimony has got nothing to do with men's issues. It just so happens that feminism goes against your religious beliefs, which is probably why you oppose feminism. There is some overlap, however, a men's movement is meant to address men's issues and not promote our own personal beliefs in God. I'm not saying it is wrong to tell people about God and what God wants but the men's movement isn't specifically designed for that purpose.
Did I say it did? I was just saying that I don't have to hit people over the head to show who I am and what I am for.

Also, beliefs are going to affect how you promote things or share opinions. Whether it's feminism, mrm, government, religion and so on. There will be specs of my beliefs in all of my views and in my nature. So it will be impossible to not talk about God or my beliefs at all.

MRM is based on the belief that men are being treated like dog shit, when they deserve to be treated like human beings and given the same basic human rights a woman has.

I admit that getting back to male leadership via religious values would be better than what we have now but I don't think it's possible at this point. The atheists have taken over and it's all about science and government.. All three (religion, science and government) have positive uses, if used moderately.
Male headship is possible. Doesnt have to be written in the law or wedding vows or anything, it simply takes an agreement between the couple concerned and thats all..

The great problem of course is that the state makes huge efforts to break such arrangements and dis-incentivise them, even though it does tend to be the way families operate when the state has less power to perversely interfere..

All that needs to happen is that more individual couples choose to take this approach, and it becomes a model for others to follow..

People believe the world is round now because it is the truth, so wouldn't your example show that beliefs are based on truths?

I apologize to anyone that felt I was forcing my beliefs on you, as that's not how I am and not how I treat others.

No need to be sorry, agreeing all the time would be boring. Having said that, I have to say that I agree with you.

Chivalry was fine for men when we were getting something out of it. Today though, it makes no sense for men to be chivalrous only to be shit on for our troubles. Marriage offers us no security at all and actually has the opposite effect. I have read that churches now teach their own form of feminism. It's pathetic and men are sitting it out.

You re right about religion being about what works, it is very much like a government where politics is more important than truth.

I never thought that. People who are religious bring God into every decision they make and every thought they have. It is inevitable that religious people will bring it up in a post from time to time. That is not a failing, a failing would be if you were religious and didn't bring God into your decisions and thoughts.
