RV, I think you missed something important, feminism has gained much ground bashing men. In fact, it is through bashing men that things like VAWA were created.

outdoors, no movement won ground by bashing the majority or trying to subdue by force. Just look at how the dictatorships take place because it's a similar effect. Most dictatorships got born by enslaving people gradually.

And yes, as long as you will treat every woman like the majority of them(arguably), you won't get anywhere. Most women, even those who label themselves as feminists don't really hate men. They are just spoon fed by society that people are out to get them, but they don't target their despise towards every single man just because he has a dick. My biggest disgust of feminism and left movements in general is that they're not really helping people. They're just destroying their integrity and will to better themselves. Feminism should help women get a better mindset for work and integrate better in the workplace, for instance, instead of asking for equal pay. It's idiotic.
I agree with the spoon-fed statement. Good word for it. But, regarding equal pay, if you do the same job ... you get the same salary (exceptions: you're newly hired with starting salary, you work for commission, you've been docked or otherwise penalized for infraction(s), etc.)

yep, i expected you to answer-to defend women(of course)and tell us what to do and how to do it and also more advice on what women need to do to further their "equality" cause.

"No movement got anywhere by bashing"--wtf planet are u on?

feminists had and have no problem with this

"most feminists don't really hate men?"-wtf u call it? love?

and as for the rest of your bull--"everyman in canada is responsible for marc lepines actions"--can u summarise this statement by the feminist dictatorship of canada as to how they don't hate men with statements like this?

bababob, that was my point regarding equal pay. Women need to learn certain skills to get the same wage, not demand it just because.

Garak, feminism didn't gain ground because they bashed men. They gained ground because they faked more or less an honourable cause and had male bashing in the background.

outdoors, I believe I brought a pretty sound argument and you chose to ignore it. You're acting like a feminist now.

They bashed men to elevate their cause. They bashed men to elevate themselves.

Without claiming men are all rapists and abusers, they wouldn't have gotten as far as they have. By playing the poor, innocent victim they have enabled no fault divorce, VAWA, court biases, etc...

RV-avoidng my questions and shaming me are not helping you in the least around here

but they don't target their despise towards every single man just because he has a dick.
you are right-gays rights are a part of their agenda

outdoors, I believe I brought a pretty sound argument and you chose to ignore it.
    i didn't ignore it-i responded to it

You're acting like a feminist now.
ya...... ok....now u made me feel bad...statements like that are an insult and a shaming tactic typically used by feminists.....who is acting like a feminist?

u should get a warning, unless you feel its a woman's right to personally attack other members of this board because u didn't get what you wanted,in the way u wanted it.

outdoors, tell me what will help me around here when I'll give a flying fuck about your opinion, your feelings and so on. I realized that people around here don't care about each others feelings so why would I be different?

And the admin told me feminist isn't an insult, so why would I get a warning? I didn't even call you a feminist, I just told you that you are acting like one. Straw man arguments, ignoring arguments and so on is a feminist tactic, isn't it?

and it seems most folk in the MRM think if they play the same pityfest game they will magically persuade the state to give men the same victim status..

ok RV-if shaming tactics are allowed because you are a feminist cunt-then so be it-u certainly have a lot of answers for an 18 year old with self- admitted problems that u cannot fix yourself.

You are bringing this site down to where MEN are not allowed to say what they want or feel-because it might upset your "entitlement ass".

you don't like me-i don't like you--how is that for your teenage ass?equality

If the mods figure that your insults against anyone that should stand in your way-are ok--- then lets get at it.

    stupid cunt

you should become a moderator-you could shame and blame anyone that should not agree with anything u say--this site seems to be turning into mangina central-catering to your "special needs"

A bit harsh there OD, but I have myself started to wonder why we are letting a couple of teenagers give us the run around with their huge experience of life living with their mothers seeming to count for more than what us old timers who have lived it for real have to say!

Infantilisation of the forum seems to be occurring!

A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing eh?

I have mentioned that it is impossible for an 18 year old female to understand the issues of men who have been screwed by the family courts...no one wanted to hear that.

...and while she said that I would be a moron if I called her a feminist...she called OD a feminist....I guess that would make her?

I dont think an 18 year old female is far behind the average male who has never had the dubious honour of having been in that situation..

"you couldnt have made this up".. Is how some folk have described their family court hell..

Yes but the 18 year old female is far behind those of us who have been through the hell.

She may see the man bashing in society and she may understand how men get screwed but understanding it and living through it are two different things.

Re: First post, after reading this site for a long time.

There are some young women who empathise on a few issues, but it is often the case that they "cherry pick"..

However, the same can be said for many men too!

They will happily accept the "benefits" of feminism..

I see the greatest differences as being between statists and those who want the state out, as a gulf in the movement..

Hence, the very term "mens rights movement" means little to me, other than a rather badly chosen banner to represent us.. (the anti-statists!)
