Aboslutely. The last thing I'd want to do is attack Sealion as I have alot of respect for him
Hear, hear. I really didn't want to be in there with the wooden spoon. What's more I helped to derail the thread.:erm:
Gentlemen, do we continue on this thread or move this important issue elswhere?
Either way I'd like to know what Sealion thinks. He must have his reasons for singling out the rape issue. He's right about it being a vicious crime, but these days it can amount to nothing more than a simple misunderstanding. And it's still relatively rare.
I hope Sealion votes for a separate thread where we can thrash it out. This over-used buzz word should not stand between us. It's a feminist tool, not ours. We may well abhor the real crime but we have nothing but contempt for the '1-in-4' propaganda.

Billy, I know you're telling the truth, but that story about your mom is un-freaking-believable. My sister threw knives at me, but they weren't sharp, and she's a lousy shot. Ye gods! What does that have to have done to your mind??? Your mom is a crazy bitch.

You're right about looking for another job. You'll never get anywhere where you're at.

Anyway, thanks for posting a story about a mom who just may be crazier than mine. Although, that's debatable.

Nothing "drove me on". I drove myself.

I have no personal horror stories of how feminism has touched my life.

I smelt the shit, and I figured it was time to pick up a shovel and clean
    out the fluckin' stable.

Being blessed with "spiritual eyes", and a direct insight into the nature of
things, I saw exactly what feminism is. I just SAW it, man!

But it wasn't until the year 2000 that my irritation reached such critical
mass that I actually chose to identify as 'anti-feminist'.

And ever since that time, I have been getting "worser and worser".

    Yours in the fight,

Re: What Drove You On To Become An Anti-feminist/MRA?

Well Fred X, rather than perceiving myself as being a men's rights activist, I'm more inclined to describe myself merely as a man with an opinion on gender issues. There are one or two main underlying reasons, which I'd prefer to keep to myself. However, they are not the motivating reasons as to why I decided to post here. I could perhaps have attributed the position that I consequently found myself in, as being a direct result of feminism, but I didn't. Anyone who's lived long enough will realise that life isn't remotely fair, or often very nice, and as far as I'm concerned it just comes with the territory.

It was only when looking back in retrospect that any sort of discernable pattern emerged. Things such as there being predominantly women teachers employed in my primary school up to the age of eleven, and this being back in the mid-70's. There were one or two male influences that I remember in school, and not always good ones it has to be said. Nevertheless, they commanded respect. One other memory I recall distinctly was our male class teacher hitting a tennis ball with a cricket bat so hard, that to our young eyes, it almost disappeared out of sight. We as kids, all thought that Superman had just joined us for a game. That's one of the positive benefit's of a man's influence on youngsters.

I'm not entirely sure as to what the final straw was exactly, but it was probably one of these ones..

First hand experience of an overtly feminist teacher at a college for higher education in the mid 80's, who could have put recruiters for the Hitler Youth to shame. Nightclubs where very often men paid for the privilage to get in, but women got in for free. Nice. Fast forwarding again to today, where just about every ISP homepage is female orientated, swamped with the very latest drivel regarding Big Brother or Love Island, as if there's isn't already enough saturation coverage on the t.v as it is. Or the latest scientific survey advertising the Women's section of the ISP's homepage, which catagorically states that us men think about sex every 6 seconds, or is it 6 times per second? I can never remember. Or "10 Ways to hook your man", or "10 things you didn't or should, know about men or women". Endless female nattering and self interest on t.v. programmes such as Trisha, Loose Women, Oprah etc. Adverts for women only car insurance at all hours of the day. Car insurance adverts where men are reduced to dressing up in drag for Sheila's Wheels, and also to advertise kitchen towels wearing the now standard-issue wig, full make up and dress. Or alternatively, as some useless wimp to promote the latest new and improved bathroom cleaning gunge. Come to think of it, I've got almost 20 years no claims on my car insurance, and yet if an exclusively male car insurance company advertised on prime time, the t.v. studios would be threatened with firebombing along with a feminist fatwa issued by the likes of Germaine Greer.

Care to guess which was one of the most popular A-levels to be taken by female students in Britain this year, yet again? Media Studies. And we men, think it's intolerable now..

Banal utterances by the likes of Jeni Murray on Woman's Hour on the publicly funded BBC, stating a couple of years ago that it is, apparently, quote; "..time for women to get angry again." As if she even has the faintest idea as to the meaning of that word.

No more male role models on tv or film for men or boys to identify with or to look up to any longer. No modern equivalent of unapologetic male escapism such as Starsky & Hutch, The Professionals or the A-Team. Even James Bond isn't beyond the feminist scourge, with the female lead portrayed as being every bit his equal. In that case why doesn't producer Barbara Brocoli (daughter of "Cubby"), be honest enough to just do away with a male central character completely, to have him replaced with Jemima Bond, and have done with it?

My local bank is managed and staffed entirely by women. Fine. I've no problem with that, except for the sole promotion of Breast Cancer Charities at the cashier tills if you please. No mention of cancer affecting men it seems. After all, it most probably never crossed their minds. Then again, why would it? That's not even mentioning the overall lack of public funding with regard to men's health in comparison to women's heath. As you well know, there are numerous other things that I could highlight, but I'm sure you get the picture Fred.

I do confess to not being constantly angry about men's issues on a daily basis. It's just that things that provoke such potential anger are increasingly difficult to avoid, although I do try my very best to do so, believe it or not.

My little sister found a rusty fork when they two sisters were cleaning.
During her rage at my sister she threw the rusty fork and stuck the oldest in the arm. Don't tell me women aren't violent. Big sis had to go get tetnus shots. And baby sis never ever got in trouble. Always an angel in Daddys eyes.

If I bring up the issue with Mom that occurred years ago Mom says "It was just a joke, I can't believe you remember that". It was no joke and I doubt it will ever be forgotten.. Believe me having your older sister jerk you around the room by your hair while Mom threatens with a butcher knife ain't at all funny.
