Taiwan minister: Men are Dirty.
As if things could not be any worse in Sweden for men, their misandric notions have started to spread across the globe. We all remember when Sweden demand that all men in their borders urinate while in the seated position? Well, the minister of Taiwan hasn't forgotten either, in fact he has gone so far as to declare that men should do the same in his country. But here's the real rub, not only is he doing it for the usual emasculating feminist reasons, but he just can't resist pointing out how dirty men are for peeing in the standing position. To get the full gist of it. please read below:
Taiwan minister says men should sit down to urinate
Sitting on the toilet promotes a cleaner environment, the minister says
A Taiwanese minister has caused widespread debate on hygiene by suggesting that men should sit down while urinating instead of standing up.
Stephen Shen, Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) minister, said that sitting on the toilet like women do creates a cleaner environment.
This has generated a lot of online debate, says the BBC's Cindy Sui.
Officials are to ask local governments this week to put up notices in public places advising men to sit.
While many women in social media websites favour the suggestion, a lot of men say it would be hard to stop doing what they are used to, our correspondent in Taipei adds.
But EPA officials insist that it can be done.
"We want to learn from Japan and Sweden," said Yuan Shaw-jing, EPA director general of environmental santitation and toxic substance maintenance.
"In Japan, we heard 30% of the men sit," he added.
Inspectors regularly grade Taiwan's estimated 100,000 public toilets, with most of receiving high marks.
But EPA officials say there is room for improvement, as some toilets are still smelly because of urine spatter.
While the agency said that it cannot force men to change their habits, it will ask local governments this week to put notices in public toilets with the suggestion.
As for Mr Shen, the EPA confirmed that he himself practices what he suggests - at home and while using public toilets.

Re: Taiwan minister: Men are Dirty.
I for one will continue to pee proudly standing up, if any do-gooder suggests I sit down when I am peeing, an unfortunate spatter accident might happen to that person.

Re: Taiwan minister: Men are Dirty.
Seriously? They're trying to tell men how they are allowed to pee? Makes me want to pee standing up. (Don't worry. I wouldn't want to deal with the mess).
So the toilets are smelly? Imagine that. Maybe they could clean them more often? Just a suggestion. I'm pretty sure the men have had a lot of practice aiming.

Re: Taiwan minister: Men are Dirty.
Let's take a "stand" for our right as men to use urinals!
Contrary to what some feminists say, male violence is not "acceptable", "sanctioned" or "institutionalized" behavior. The fact that it is even considered criminal is proof of that.

Re: Taiwan minister: Men are Dirty.
As someone who only pisses standing up during REAL camping trips (no RV or outhouses), it doesn't matter to me. I don't think there should be laws against or for such a thing though...Isn't it personal choice?

Re: Taiwan minister: Men are Dirty.
You damn right I'm dirty. Now speed on or get peed on, feminists.
When I do this, and I know I will, it will be comparable to the lame learning to walk, the blind being enabled to see and the suffocated breathing again. The sky isn't the limit; there are no limits.

Re: Taiwan minister: Men are Dirty.
Why is it that men are always expect to change their behaviour when there is an issue such as this (real or imagined). If women had penises no one would dare tell them to sit down and urinals would be compulsory by law, even in the home.

Re: Taiwan minister: Men are Dirty.
There is considerably less physical contact between target and body when standing as oppose when sitting. I'd say potential for hygiene issues to escalate would be far greater when more body-area is pressed against the toilet seat that when stood a foot away with zero body-contact.
As for the surrounding area, have these people not heard of bleach or other germ-killing cleaners that are used in toilets in this modern world?►My blog / Your Blog

Husband : "That's where they held the auction."

Re: Taiwan minister: Men are Dirty.
I call BS on men being 'dirtier'. HAs anyone who has worked in a restaurant ever had to clean the bathrooms? I have, and I will tell you, it was the women's bathroom that was almost ALWAYS more discusting. I'll take cleaning a bit of overspray/spatter over the used cotton type items stuck against the wall or the seat looking like a slaughterhouse anyday!

Re: Taiwan minister: Men are Dirty.
I'd have to say that I somewhat disagree with Marx. So long as you have a clean seat and no broken skin/cuts on your rump, there is not really any chance of you getting sick from sitting.
Not that I'm absurdly against men standing...it only affects me when I have to clean up after my customers (who really do leave such a mess that I think they've never pissed standing up before!).
Again, other than camping trips, I've always sat, and have never once gotten sick, even from public restrooms.

Re: Taiwan minister: Men are Dirty.
After working for two years in a woman-dominated retail environment, where it was considered only natural that the man of the house get on hands and knees and clear the clogs of unknown foul origin (in the ladies' room every time), my answer is this:
They'll have to put me in handcuffs to get me to urinate indoors at all.
When the plumbers and janitors and stockers and bussers who actually install and maintain the toilets are all women (cold day in hell, that'll be), maybe, just maybe, they'll have a case. Until then, I stand beneath the open sky for freedom everywhere.skype: techno.skept
