I have got used to looking at headlines and expecting contextual discrepancies from what is being "suggested".. Id say its just shit stirring for the sake of it.. If they want women only, whine hot? Its a cultural thing. I would say men should have the right to men only kid play too.. Whine hot?

Ahh, well let's use religion to discriminate against men. The courts and officials will bend over as they usually do and stick their heads up their asses so they won't offend women and religious zealots.

Just an observation... It asks if the reader thinks the playgroup is 'entitled' to ban dads, not whether it's acceptable. Two different things. Nonetheless, people obviously don't believe the group is entitled to ban fathers.

Who built the center? The gubment or the Muslim community? Private organizations can do whatever they want, but they should still be shamed and boycotted for inappropriate things.

The sign should read: "Where the fun never ends...and Dads never enter."

What about single dads? Or families with handicapped mothers? We all know what the reaction would be if moms and girls over 9 were banned.

The same people who ban fathers from such facilities will also try to shame men for not spending enough time with their children.

Headed off now to the all-female-faculty school to be the only dad there enrolling my child.

Lately I've had some down time, and I'm not ashamed to say some sitting-on-my-ass time, which after thirty years of dust and heat and subzero cold and splinters and sweat, I really don't consider unmanly at all.

A mother spends her entire kids' childhood doing her nails and posting on facebook, (oh, and the four hours a month it takes to be "active in the school community"), and no one questions it.

To be fair, the woman of this house has a good job and spends a lot of hours at it, and lately I've had more time than she.

Gender roles in our family tend to be pretty balanced, and like this morning, sometimes even tip the other way from common practice. But, as a man who lost one of his children to abduction and the court, I count this a privilege and an honor.

And at least here they let me in the door.




Let's work this perceptions thing. Okay, a man goes to the park or finds a play facility that serve his kind, or takes part in daytime school activities.
In the eyes of the legions of women surrounding him, he is (tell me if I miss anything):

- a creep

- a loser

- probably abusing his kids

- not welcome in parent chat

- probably on welfare

- exploiting some woman, somewhere, somehow, he must be

- talked about behind his back, and as we have seen, ruled against at times for his gender

BTW in my neighborhood feminists are considered communists. This is not about these women being feminists. It is about how feminism has reached into every circle of womanhood, even as events in Birmingham illustrate, Islamic women.
