Feminists across the seas in Vancouver, Canada, resorted to physically lashing out against a safety officer after he told them the poster campaign was legal. As is to be expected of members of the feminist community, once the police were called out the feminists burst in to fits of tears and portrayed themselves as victims despite their violent & unprovoked attacks against men.

Keep in mind, feminist advocates frequently claim that feminism as a movement does not rely on violence. Well, this is one such example that this claim is simply untrue.

JohnTheOther was on site to recall the events and phoned into the radio show to inform listeners. I have included the video content of this discussion and you will need to forward the file to about 14 minutes to hear JTO's account.

Sadly, but unsurprisingly, despite the Vancouver MRA's doing no wrong, they are under investigation while the abusive feminists who assaulted the safety officer in front of several witnesses faces no legal repercussions for their unprovoked abuse & violence.

He first came to prominence as PR Director of Fathers 4 Justice and was described by the group's founder as "the most impressive campaigner" he'd ever met.

Glen is now the UK co-ordinator of International Men's Day and Strategic Director of The Men's Network, a dynamic social project based in Brighton & Hove that hosted the UK's First National Conference for Men and Boys in 2011.

Over recent months and years this blog has published a number of articles highlighting sexism by Cancer Research UK, with a particular focus on its disgraceful Race for Life event. As the backslash against Race for Life grows ever stronger and as so many new readers become interested in this issue I felt it was time we took a wider look at CRUK's activities as a whole. Race for Life is simply a symptom of wider problems at the organisation and in my view the entire charity is institutionally sexist, particualr given the fact that, even according to CRUK's own reports "In general men are at significantly greater risk than women from nearly all of the common cancers that occur in both sexes".

I therefore present a summary of the ten of the prevailing sexist attitudes at CRUK. I strongly sugget readers support other cancer charites until some of the issues below are addressed.

    1. Male fundraisers are not wanted
It's pretty obvious that the organisation who set up Race for Life and deliberately excludes men from "the biggest fight against cancer" doesn't want their money (unless it's arrives via a female intermediary who then takes the credit for raising it).
Lets examine exactly what happened to get us into this situation

Health Petition: UK Government: End Unnecessary Male Circumcision in The UK | Change.org

When a baby boy bleeds to death in Oldham as the result of an Unnecessary Male Circumcision it is time to think again............

Male Circumcision is a risky, abusive and unnecessary practice that affects 1 billion men and boys worldwide.

There isn’t a single medical association in the world that recommends the practice and yet half a million boys in the UK will be subjected to Unnecessary Male Circumcision before their 16th birthday.

The painful and unnecessary removal of a boy’s foreskin is an abuse of a child’s basic human right to be protected from damaging, dangerous and deadly practices.

Many babies and boys in the UK are circumcised without appropriate anaesthetic by non-medical staff in community settings such as homes, restaurants and places of worship.

One study of circumcisions performed in a community setting in Oxford found that 45% of boys suffered from complications.

As well as the considerable short-term risks, Male Circumcision can also cause unnecessary medical, psychological and sexual problems over the longer term.

A day doesn’t go by that you won’t find a story about a baby that has been abandoned by their mother. Oftentimes, those children come from broken families or unmarried mothers who have broken ties with the father. The Safe Haven Law and its unintended consequences have vanquished the voice of the birth father and may be putting children at risk.

Like many states, Illinois has a law called “Safe Haven (The Abandoned Newborn Infant Protection Act enacted in 2001) which permits mothers to abandon any child unharmed within seven days of the child’s birth at a “safe haven” location including hospitals, emergency medical facilities, fire stations, and police stations that have staff present.

All designated safe havens must have a safe haven sign posted in a conspicuous place on the exterior of the building.

When a mother abandons a child at a designated “safe haven,” and the child is unharmed, no effort will be made to find the mother or charge the mother ...

The president of Utah Adoption Council, a Utah based non profit organized in 1981 to assist in lightening the load of the foster care system in that state, resigned on Tuesday amidst widespread claims that its members were actively undermining the interests of biological fathers who’s children are adopted in Utah. Wes Hutchens, an adoption lawyer who has facilitated over 1000 adoptions in his career had only one more month to serve as president. Yet at a council meeting on Tuesday he announced he was leaving to start his own non profit that will advocate for a more ethical approach to adoption that respects the rights of all those involved. Members of the council, comprised of lawyers, adoption agencies and parents, accused him of having his own agenda but Hutchens shot back, asserting that members were not acting ethically when administering adoptions.

Utah’s adoption laws and the practices of it’s adoption agencies have been the center of much controversy when it comes ...

Thanks to AM forum member scullion, we have had the stupidity of a recent European government resolution brought to our attention.

The resolution is multi-faceted and is available in full from European Parliament archives:
REPORT on women and climate change - A7-0049/2012

As part of the justification this resolution for yet more special attention for women, is a claim made about how many women and children (lumped together) are refugees:
between 75 and 80 % of the world’s 27 million refugees are women and children
This quote is taken directly from one of many United Nations web pages on women:
    Women at a Glance

Another way to state the quoted text is
Between 20 and 25% of the world’s 27 million refugees are men.

Using the same census data and methods used elsewhere to analyse the resolution it can be calculated that the ratio of men in disaster zones causing refugees is 37% (if 'children' are those under 15). One has to wonder why the United Nations' figures can be used to prove that women need special attention. ...
