It actually calls for egg nog in the recipe? That's vile. I would definitely have to use milk instead. I checked out a Turkish cookbook from my school library and am wanting to make "sultan's pudding with pistachios." If it's good enough for a sultan, it's good enough for me.

No, I had some egg-nog left over from christmas so I dumped it in the pudding mix.

If you don't like egg nog it may not be for you. It gives it a good flavor though. It may be worth half and halving it. Egg nog/milk. It's not overwhelming that way, and it does change the flavor a bit for the better I think.

I'm interested in this sultan's pudding deal. I may check into it this week in my culinary meanderings.

Gotcha. I read it wrong. Never was a fan of egg nog, but to each their own.
