Okay, the only home computer I've ever owned was an old Dell loaded with Windows 3.1. One of the games that came with the software was Tetris. Oh my god, did I fall for this. I was never very good at it, but I could spend hours watching those cube-things dropping into place. It might be connected with my favourite childhood game of Lego (before they spoiled the fun by designing everything for you). I later picked up a cheap hand-held game toy that had a Tetris-like program, and again I could spend hours at this, until my fingers got stiff. It's really hypnotic, there's probably some research out there on how our brains process these things. Never got into much else except for a Microsoft flight simulator (older version jerky video), and I did manage to get through Mysst (sp?). I've avoided getting anymore of these things because I think I could become addicted Feminism = Fear + Flattery | ||||

When the big Tetris craze was going on, I just ignored it - I found it intensely boring. However, a few years on - and I was addicted. My stepson had it on his gameboy advance, not for long!!! Ha! Yeah, I'd play with it in bed, in the bath, while waiting for appointments, just as and when I fancied, really. I used to play the Tetris game often too

Yeah I had a hand held one for while I was waiting to tag cattle at the offload. It was great until a cow kicked me in the chest and broke the damn thing. I was mad as hell about it too it is so dang addicting even when you suck at it like I did.
