My bestest games ever
had to be "Operation Wolf" and "Robocop".
Wow, they were just so cool.
Yes, even the humble Spectrum 128K made those games truly wonderful.►My blog / Your Blog

Re: My bestest games ever
Some true classic games for various consoles/computers include (in my opinion):
Amiga 600-
Another World
Street Fighter series
Mortal Combat series
Gameboy-
Tetris
Super Mario Brothers
PC-
Doom
Sims
Playstation/Playstation 2-
GTA (3-5)
Resident Evil series
Silent Hill series
Hitman series
Smackdown (vs Raw) series
Tekken series
Crash Bandicoot series
Fighting Force
Tomb Raider series
My particular favorite is GTA, especially no. 5 due to the sheer enormity of the game plus the variety of things to do within it
It's one of those games that you can play all-year-round and still find new things to do

Re: My bestest games ever
The retro game i played the most was on the atari and called 'dodge-em' it was a bit similar to pacman, drive a car around a grid driving over dots, there was 2 computer cars driving the opposite way to you.
another oldie game was pitstop 2 on the commodore 64, you needed to stop in the pits to change tyres and add fuel. it was so advanced for its time.
yes gta 5 san andreas is brilliant, i keep looking for news of a gta6, the liberty city stories was such a disappointment.
PC games i currently play total war a lot, shogun, medieval and rome. cant wait for medieval 2 to come out.
Used to play americas army. aint played for nearly 2 years now but im still ranked 3rd in the world. http://aaotracker.com/userranklist.php. and i still get emails from people asking me to join their clan, if only i had time.If you need advice, help or support visit

Re: My bestest games ever
I've FINALLY got GTA IV working on my PC, I'm really enjoying that at the moment.
I've just started playing Chinatown Wars on the DS (Emulator), that's looking quite good too.
Compiling a list is hard, there are games I won't miss, like Final Fantasy, 8 being my favourite of those, Hitman as well, I love that series.
Best story and soundtrack go to GTA Vice City, I absolutely love the style of that game.
Can't believe I saw Halls Of The Things mentioned on this thread, I loved that, well, loved watching my dad play it, it was a great game, different every time you played it, so simple an idea as well, I'm surprised it hasn't been updated/remade.
I loved Chuckie Egg from the Speccie as well.
Pro Evolution Soccer is a winner too, it doesn't have the polish that FIFA has, but I prefer gameplay over graphics, so I always go with Pro Evo.
I recently got Puzzle Quest: Galactrix, a follow up to the first Puzzle Quest, it's basically Bejewelled in RPG form, but it's highly addictive, just like Peggle, another addictive classic.
Far Cry 2 is amazing, you get to do most missions as you please with no stupid time limits, it's an amazing game.
I play that many, I could never pick a favourite, maybe a favourite from a genre, but not an overall favourite.
And then there's Bioshock, a game that caused nothing but problems for me when I had Vista, but when I eventually got it working, it was great, full of great ideas and varied gameplay, and it has the greatest twist I've ever witnessed in anything, including books and movies, but I won't be giving it away here.
Another that gets a lot of my time, is Frets On Fire, it's a PC clone of Guitar Hero/Rock Band, and you can play all the songs from all those games on it, and you can make your own songs for it, I've made over 50 so far, it's great fun, I would recommend that game over all others simply because it's free and has unlimited gameplay, you'll never run out of songs to play on it as people are always uploading their songs they've made themselves on the FOF website.
Ah videogames, you've just got to love them.Hugh & Mary Discuss Feminist Related Issues (ALL SUBTITLED): http://www.youtube.com/view_play_lis...0081D259987DCD

Re: My bestest games ever
Bestes Games....those are always hard to figure out as I own a lot of games but let me dwelve in memories and think about it...
Street Fighter 2 - One of the first SNES games I got. I remember learning to do a dragon punch or fighting the 4 endbosses the first time. "Wow Vega can climb on that fence"....
Super Street Fighter 2 - I was a skilled fighter and dominating my friends when my cousin came in and asked if she could try it. I gave her the controller and she beat me stringing 3-5 hit combos together (she had Camy I had Ken of course) I still can not believe it and somehow think she lied when she said she hasn´t played it before.
Street Fighter Alpha 2 - It still runs on the SNES but you could see that the good ol SNES was aging. Countless duels with friends, raging demons, eating packages of corn flakes (no kidding) during the idle time after selecting players, it was great.
Mortal Kombat 2 - We had a MK2 drink tournament once. Lose one drink one. I was at the loosing end a lot at that evening and still was able to figure the Rayden teleport tactics of a friend out and finally impale him (back, forward, down, forward + B) with Baraka.
Super Mario 64 - Wow, just wow. The first game on the N64 was so well designed, I was just playing it with an open mouth. Earning all the stars really was fun.
Super Mario Galaxy - Better than 64. Unbelieveable great gameplay.
ISSD - Or International Superstar Soccer.....DELUXE. That is what later became Pro EVO. Played tournaments with friends. Just Brilliant...
ISS64 - ... was even better. Defending was harder than shooting goals. I could play the hardest level China vs Brazil and still win with a 5 goal lead.
Yoshis Island - Uber design. Superp Graphics, MEGA GAMEPLAY. I unlocked all secret levels, than my module resetted itself...much like ISS64 - I hate that.
Perfect Dark - 4 Player shootout with bots on your 64? Yup Perfect Dark had it all. I loved the creative weapons. Nothing beats shooting your opponent on the other side of the level with your x-ray gun. Or watching your video controlled missile snatch that pesky opponent.
Conkers Bad Fur Day - Holy mother did I laugh. You really have to see the "Saving private Ryan" and "Matrix" spoofs to believe that. That crazy squirrel.
Earthworm Jim - I beat it. I really did. Okay it was a team efford during a night over. Oh my. Arround 3 o´clock that hive Queen went down and I could see the damsel in distress we saved hit by the cow we launched in the very first level (and Jim snatch her crown afterwards) great!
Metal Gear Solid - That game really was a movie. A well written one.
Burnout 3 - Great Soundtrack. Great Gameplay. Unbelieveable Speed...one of the last Wow effect on my PS2
Day of the Tentacle and Sam and Max hit the road - Beating them was hard yet so rewarding (Use bed with bed). Sadly these days those games are not made anymore.
There are many more....those came to mind first.Disclaimer:The men's and fathers' movement needs to make sure it never sees females as the enemy, but only misandry--whether from females or from males. If not, we'll become like the bigoted feminists that this movement was formed to oppose.Glenn Sacks

What about "hack." Textual adventures on the PC.
