Re: Death
This is serious. YOU SHOULD ALREADY BE IN HOSPITAL. England's health system is like NZ's. You get the treatment when you are acute and coughing up blood is acute.
Yep, just a few months. I can relate because I went to the doctor in pain and had tests that showed I had gall stones. I was put on a list because it was serious but really .... instead of the tests, the doctor should have put me in an ambulance. I don't think they should be mucking around with YOUR health through tests.Could be dead in a few months..
You say that now, but, what if they find what is wrong in a few months and tell you, "Because they didn't see you sooner, you only have days to live?"But so what, life goes on eh? I like sleeping anyway!
I think you should visit the emergency department of the hospital instead of waiting for tests from a doctor.
They are going to be upset. It will cut deep just because you're dad, me thinks.Im a bit pissed off that I wont see my kids get old..
Haha. I can relate to that too. They say only the good die young. I'm doomed for longer stay, I reckon. But I have already lived much longer than I thought I would..

Re: Death
haha! I feel like shit on a plate right now, having been in bed for a good 30 hours or so, but that is not particularly unusual for me..
The chest x ray was ok, and I think the blood tests have shown I dont have anything wrong with liver, and all those other things..
Probably some horrible virus or other, hopefully all the lumps and pains will dissapear soon..
What worries me is that my dad went from fit as a badgers brush to dead in a very short space of time..
The only sign that he was ill was his hypochondria..
He seemed to have lots of minor complaints..
Then he died of malignant melanoma, oddly, he never mentioned that one..
But he probably found out about 4 months prior to his death, and it was too late even then..
I think the only saving grace for him was when his heart failed before the cancer really started to wreck him..

Re: Death
Haahoo, I hope you get some medical help and damned soon. It sounds grim.
I don't want to lose you even though you are a foul-mouthed trouser-snake baoster of the topest order who cannot raise a sensible arguement about anything and is a damned nuisance most of the time.
Your exploits are an example to us all.

Re: Death
Hmmm.....cult members in my family then. If you say so, Zub.
On the subject of death: I think of the term "death" as something of a misnomer since it is more like a conversion of one form of energy to another. I like thinking of it that way. Nothing really ceases to exist.
"Civilization can only revive when there shall come into being in a number of individuals a new tone of mind, independent of the prevalent one among the crowds, and in opposition to it- a tone of mind which will gradually win influence over the collective one, and in the end determine its character. Only an ethical movement can rescue us from barbarism, and the ethical comes into existence only in individuals."
