The Bible predicts future events with 100% accuracy.

Through the Bible runs the “Word of God” this is proven by the simple fact that the Bible is the only book on planet Earth, which predicts future events with 100% accuracy.

God foretold of the Elijah prophet, John the baptist, who would precede the Messiah:
    Isaiah 40:3.
The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

    Fulfilled presicely in Matthew 3:3.

Many prophecies were brought to pass perfectly in the life of Jesus Christ:

God predicted the birth place of Jesus Christ:
    Micah 5:2.
But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

Fulfilled perfectly in Matthew 2:1 when the Messiah was born at Bethlehem.

God predicted the murder of those boys who were under two years of age by Herod:
    Matthew 2:18.
In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.

Fulfilled presicely in Matthew 2:16 when Herod ordered the murder of all the male children under the age of two.

God foretold that the Messiah would ride triumphantly into Jerusalem on an ass:
    Zechariah 9:9.
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

    God`s word came to pass 100% in Luke 19:28 – 38.
    __________________________________________________ __________________________________

God predicted that the Messiah would perform miraculous healings:
    Isaiah 29:18.
And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.

    Fulfilled precisely in Luke 7:20 – 22.
    __________________________________________________ __________________________________

God prophesied that the Messiah would be betrayed by one of His own:
    Psalm 41:9.
Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.

Fulfilled to the letter in John 13:18 as Judas Iscariot betrayed the Lord.
    __________________________________________________ __________________________________

God predicted that the Messiah would be betrayed for “Thirty pieces of silver” not twenty nine or thirty one pieces of silver:
    Zechariah 11:12.
And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver.

    Fulfilled precisely in Matthew 26:15.
    __________________________________________________ __________________________________

God foretold that the betrayer would try to return the thirty pieces of silver:
    Zechariah 11:12 + 13.
    12. And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver.
    13. And the Lord said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the Lord.

    Fulfilled perfectly in Matthew 27:3 – 10.
    __________________________________________________ __________________________________

God prophesied that the disciples would desert the Messiah when He was arrested:
    Zechariah 13:7.
Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the Lord of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.

Fulfilled to the letter in Matthew 26:31.
    __________________________________________________ __________________________________

God foretold that the Messiah would be crucified:
    Psalm 22:16 + 17.
    16. For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
    17. I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.

    Fulfilled exactly in Matthew 27:35.
    __________________________________________________ __________________________________

God predicted that the Roman soldiers would cast lots for the Messiah`s robe:
    Psalm 22:18.
They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my clothing.

    Fulfilled perfectly in John 19:23 + 24.
    __________________________________________________ __________________________________

God foretold that the Messiah would go to Hell, and that He would be resurrected before His physical body would begin to corupt:
    Psalm 16:10.
For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

    Fulfilled exactly in Luke 24:46.

I have listed only eleven of the many prophecies which were brought to pass 2,000 years ago, which foretold about the Birth, Ministry, Death, Burial or Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

All of these prophecies were given at least 400 years before the event, by men who never met each other, showing beyond any doubt whatsoever, that they were given by a Being who stands outside of time and space.

Indeed, this Being knows the end as He knows the beginning, He tells us of the beginning in Genesis and of the end in Revelation.

God has shown that this Book, and this Book alone, is the one through which He speaks.

The truth concerning how God saves His own children is woven through this Book from the first page to the last page.

God kept His word and sent His Prophet in this day.

Forgive my ignorance, but aren't all those predictions kind of circular logic?

If it predicted something within reasonable historical limits... I could find it more believable.

I don't mean to knock your faith, I just struggle to believe in what I cannot confirm for myself.

God correctly predicted the exact geographical location where the Messiah would be born, in Bethlehem, I do not know how to work out statistical chances, however, I expect that to get that right must be millions to one.

Re: The Bible predicts future events with 100% accuracy.

God ensured that His son was born there, shirley?

    It wasn't a 'prediction'.

If he had said that the Messiah would be born in British West Hartlepools, I am guessing that Jesus would have been English (or Pakistani).

God would not 'predict' otherwise he would be bound by time and God is boundless. For God there is no 'future' to predict.

Now, if you are saying that some ancient chaps predicted, then it was their words, not God's. Shirley?

And, being as the Bible was cobbled together sometime in the thrid or forth century and all the original documents from 400 years before Christ have disappeared (if there ever were any) then the whole 'prediction' bizzo could have been made up after the events.

    2 Peter 1:21.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

It was God who was in the prophets who gave the prediction, which is proven to be the case, by the simple fact that all of the prophecies which were given by God came to pass.

Is this the same Peter who told porkies when the cock crowed three times?

    Was that predicted too?

Yes, it is the exact same man.

    Yes, Jesus Himself predicted it:
    Matthew 26:34.
Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

    Again, God got it right.

What, are you a compulsive gambler?
Your questions sound similar to why many liberals have jumped on anti christian bandwagon. The bible is not PC and can be easily misunderstood by people who've been taught to hate themselves and anything that doesn't glorify their self destruction! Oh and don't bring up those idiots at WBC because
    they're a bunch frauds.
You see, it's very easy for a stooge to read one page of the Bible (out of context) and then run out in public screaming that all religion is evil!
    Here's an example!

(Genesis 3:16) To the woman he said, "I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you."

That part has been used by feminazis to turn women away from Christianity four the past five decades!!!!

You can't sit here and tell me that this anti
    christian bandwagon started by accident!

Rob York is perhaps the best reason to shun the bible and christianity for anyone who has any doubt.. His statements seem to represent the sort of twaddle that certain religious folk spout that makes them look like they havent evolved past the dawn of civilisation..

We are 2000 years on now, we are a bit more sophisticated and most of us dont follow the teachings of the bible or anything like them, and that includes 99% of so called "religious" hypocrits, mind you, they like to twist the texts and make their excuses to suit dont they?

If we are so sophisticated then why are these wealthy, overfed pigs squealing for population control? Why do they insist that women will be nothing unless they sell out their humanity and join the nanny state?
Out of the 4,000 years of human history, why hasn't there been an everlasting peace? I haven't heard any atheists answer those questions without the usual knee jerk diatribe!

Firstly: The Bible predicted future events with 100% accuracy, and you call that “Twaddle” a more ridiculous logic would be difficult to find.

Secondly: I live in the UK and I am fully aware of the truth that I do not live in a democracy.

I am ruled over by a system that passes as many laws as it wishes without asking my opinion, likewise, budgets are passed without seeking my views.

The “Ruling elite” (With possibly very few exceptions) who rule over me are, at best under a satanic anointing, or at worst they are occultists.

These people are following a satanic agenda, therefore, whether a person believes in God or not, whether a person believes in the devil or not, that person is being led to the slaughter by those who serve the devil.

The devil hates everyone, there are simply no exceptions, the devil is a liar, and he will encourage you to ignore the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Not only did the Bible correctly predict what would happen 2,000 years ago, the same Bible has correctly prophecied what would happen in this day.
God kept His word and sent His Prophet in this day.
