Julie Ann Surtees, 48, of Woodridge in Brisbane's south, today avoided jail despite pleading guilty to assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed against the 26-year-old nurse on December 8, 2003.

Wow no good purpose huh. Seems like it would be to everyones advantage to treat her the same as if a 48 yo male had sruck a female with a cane.
