Re: What Are Some of Your Favorite Quotes
Percy has highlighted an important concept, if not explained, it goes over the heads of so many.
A "Real man" has been a sartorial descriptive, enthusiastically given as a proverbial doggy bone by puppeteering women. A "Real man in gynocentric terms is something which ritualistically serves women at the detriment of men. A real man, apparently, is someone who allows women to beat upon him in the most sadistic manner and dare not complain. This primitive mindset needs to change! Real men kick up a stink as I'm doing now! Always.Last edited by Celtic Druid; 25th-February-2012 at 08:15 AM.

What doesn't kill us only makes us wish we were dead.
When I do this, and I know I will, it will be comparable to the lame learning to walk, the blind being enabled to see and the suffocated breathing again. The sky isn't the limit; there are no limits.

Re: What Are Some of Your Favorite Quotes
"As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron." H.L.Mencken
Churchill: "An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile - hoping it will eat him last"
A couple of funny ones:
"With my wife it's sex, sex, sex. That's right - three times in 34 years." Bob Monkhouse
Why don't cannibals eat divorced wives? Too bitter.
And a very profound one:
"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.
If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.
The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."
Written by Thomas Jefferson in a letter to the Secretary of the Treasury Albert Gallatin (1802).Feminism : The world's most effective contraceptive.

Re: What Are Some of Your Favorite Quotes
That was so yesterday, I heard something similar from the genuine center of democracy, the Sumerians, thousands of years before the Greek pretenders (4000BC). It's the arrogance of modern man to assume he alone is the author of great words without the help of what came before him. Forget the Greeks, the Sumerians birthed democracy, thousands of years before Greeks even contemplated the idea.

Re: What Are Some of Your Favorite Quotes
Those previous women quotes I thought of but they were influenced by the wise, felixblue, other men that know the score and observation. Generally, when I don't put a name by the quote it is a quote I thought of.
This is one of my own best quotes, probably (that I can remember).
"When one door closes make sure no one is looking and pick the lock." Popadibs
It means that when you miss out on an opportunity find out, if possible, how you can still get another chance at the same opportunity as opposed to finding a new opportunity but make sure no one knows it.Last edited by Popadibs; 25th-February-2012 at 06:12 PM.

The key that can open many locks is a very valuable key.
The lock that can be opened by many keys is a useless lock.
