I got a problem with my computer

I am not sure what is wrong?

I cannot view small screens with-in my monitor.

Say there is a video...unless I can make it go full screen,I cannot watch it,it just stays black,even though I can hear it perfectly fine.

It is the same as small boxes of say "option's".

I cannot view the icon's.

Sometimes if I scroll the page quickly I can catch a glimpse but then it just goes blank again.

This computer has done this since the day I bought it.

My old one never did this.

My adobe is updated.

Is there anything i can try to remedy this?

What Windows are you using (XP, Vista, 7)?

Try it in Safe Mode... reboot the machine, before the windows logo comes up keep tapping the F8 key... A menu appears, select 'safe mode' then let it boot.

Once in windows safe mode, check out how things appear and report back.

Fuck-I can't even download google chrome with out haveing to backdate my computer.

I cannot transfer all of my settings or e-mail addy's

I am not even attempting this.

Guess I will just live with it.

I was only messing about install Ubuntu..

When you say about not being able to view stuff, is just videos? What do you mean about not able to see options, what options? Is it other things?

It is mostly small sized vid's that I cannot see,unless I can make them fullscreen which sometimes I cannot,if there is not that option available.

Even youtube vids that someone posts here,I have to guess where the youtube button(icon) is as I cannot see it.

If I didn't know where the full screen or youtube button was,I would truly be f'd in watching any video's.

i am going to bed now before I rip this computer out and throw it off my deck into the lake.

Does this problem include movie files like DVDs?

If not, try these steps; of course, you can try them anyway:
1) update Flash player Adobe - Install Adobe Flash Player
2) Right-click in video --> Global Settings --> and disable/enable hardware acceleration for video

Also, make sure your machine is up-to-date:
Vista/7) [Windows key]+R --> "control update" --> Ok --> sellect all updates --> update --> go out for lunch

Update your JAVA clients, then look at the error logs and check on the adobe/flash programs to see if they are throwing errors or cautions. I would do a deep virus and malware scan on the system. Are you using and ad blockers or cookie crushers? There is a known issue with Adobe LSO's (Super cookies for adobe and flash content). If you are using firefox for your browser, download the Better Privacy 1.68 add on which will allow you to eliminate flash cookes and LSO's from your system.

Something is misconfigured on the system. The windows key is the key to the lower left of the keyboard that looks like a flag in a circle, you can also click on the left most icon at the bottom of the screen that looks like a flag in a circle or transparent sphere.
