This is very interesting in that I wonder what the stats would be for… say… being in the military on the front lines in a time of war? 100 times, 200 times or dare I say 1000 times more prone to injuries? Let alone mental injuries like, “Oh I can’t leave the military hospital for everyone is trying to kill there on the front lines, even the drill sergeant is threatening me with violence if I run away next time!” It is a good thing that more women are superior in their tone of being against war, for they would once again fail to live up to their equality models in the Hollywood view of the world. Interesting. The other day, I was at the bookstore and came across a book about the epidemic of sports injuries among young female athletes. I asked myself why there was a book about girls but not guys getting hurt playing sports and assumed that the answer was misandry. Maybe the answer is in this study...

When I was in high school, I started our school's first all-female football team. Eighty girls turned out for this sport. I understand why it would be dangerous for girls to play on a boys' team and why the coach didn't want to allow it, but there are alternatives, such as creating a girls' only team (which is what I did). I say, if they want to play, let them play. They know the risks they take. Why stop girls from doing what they love ...just because traditionally football/soccer are boys' sports doesn't mean that women should never be allowed to enjoy the sport.

The point I think Timocrat is making is to prove yet again that men and women are not perfectly equal, physically or otherwise, and thus political agendas based on the idea that we're interchangeable are foolish and ultimately dangerous. Feminism = Fear + Flattery | ||||

If women want to enter a male sport, paid for by their male watching supporters, then they should compete head-to-head with men (like the do in horseback jumping) and at a totally equal level in all rules. What we have now, as you are no doubt well aware of, is "equality" when it is good for women and "unequaltiy" when it is good for women. Which means taking positions from men, often with families of their own, and giving it to often single women who get equal funds for less work and effort. I will always want women to do sports, as it takes them away form the BS of life, but not at the expenses of dishonoring the sport and making better athletes get less (or no incone) for token females that want the best of both worlds as they act like they are equal to men as they do less than men in the very sport they say they honor. It is total BS. They also keep adding so many bogus dancing sports to any field. The orginal Greeks wouldn't allow any such sports that let the judgment of the winner be left to a referee, as this would lead to endless corruption. Which as you know we have now, and with dance sports of all kinds it is rampant. It is now down to, in many such girlie dance sports, to who looks prettier, who has the biggest bunch of followers (who will get upset if their girl loses), who cries longer after losing last time etc. It is like soup operas, as anything women touch becomes one, as it does in business and government to.

It sounds like you are saying that sports should be a men-only domain. While I agree, segregating male and female sports has validity (safely, fair competition, etc.), why should girls' sports be left by the wayside (if they get support privately they can play, if not, they can't) and boys' sports funded completely by tax-payers?
