I'd agree there's a disagreement with how to deal with abusive women, but I wouldn't define it as "most."

Just the ones I hear making comments... They seem to think the state should solve the problem for them, you know, the problem that men are naturally equipped best to be able to solve..

Men have to take charge.. Thats what I think, and they should not have to leave their own homes when women commit criminal acts of violence upon them.

I think you are forgetting to understand the effects of abuse on a male and female. Perhaps a good question could be, "What happens to people when they are abused?" "Why don't they walk away, why don't they have any strength, etc?"

I hear you Julie, but what you and I know differs from the rotten propaganda pumped out to the gullible masses.

A genuine democracy needs informed people who are in possession of untold uncomfortable truths and not be lacking in being forthcoming in dispelling the myths and lies.

I'm thinking it'd be worth a look. At any rate, where do we go for donations? I've been putting away $50 a week for Gencon but could spare it for a worthy cause this week instead

I think you are forgetting to understand the effects of abuse on a male and female. Perhaps a good question could be, "What happens to people when they are abused?" "Why don't they walk away, why don't they have any strength, etc?"

I understand it, but still, they get into those situations of their own free will and need help to solve it perhaps, not have their homes and families broken down.

Okay from looking at the site indiegogo is a fundraising site just like kickstarter. The link at the begining of the thread leads directly to the page you need, but here is the link again.

Yep,you would be surprised how many men repeat this exact same phrase.

One cannot bring the kid's to the pub.

I guess leaving the children with a violent abusive female so you can feel better and blow off some steam by going to the pub is a far more better choice than getting a safe place for oneself and his children escaping d.v..

I think he's mocking the feminist claims that a men's shelter is the pub, which I've heard from more than one or two feminists in the past. It's a way of marginalizing men's suffering and mocking it.

I have actually heard this from men,many times.

They were serious and treated the issue of battered men as some kind of joke.

Of course,these same guy's are happily married and have no idea to the reality of being a battered male.
