Every 'movement' attracts people with varying degrees of expression. Some members bring angst and focus which do not contribute but rather take the movement in a direction that proves counter-productive.

The Feminists did not deal with their radical lesbian, man-hating core and look at the result. The ranting and mendacities took over. The MRM has to be more disciplined.

You're right, and I'm not sure how it could be really denied. However, let's put it into perspective. Feminist extremists create male-hostile laws, demand favourable treatment of women at the cost to men & children, insist on pushing tax-created (i.e. mostly male earned/paid) money at feminist groups and try to claim equality on one hand while stereotyping men and women different (abuser/victim respectively).

MRM extremists have done........ none of the above.

Marx, you can minimize it all you want but it doesn't make it right. Listen to the beliefs they spout, and ask yourself if you really want to be allied with those crazies.

exactly unfortunately the MRM does have sexists in it and a large variety of ideologies outside of male advocacy going to war with eachother if we arent careful the handful of truly harmful people could become the representatives thanks to the internet and feministing who will gladly do some cherrypicking

yet, MRMs havent been getting policies in till recently if we arent careful it theoretically could happen and then feminism will be on the rise and the cycle will continue over and over...

This is wrong on two counts:
1) I'm only stating a fact (that the MRM hasn't released books with massive sales telling men that women are all out to abuse them or rip their children from their arms, isn't entering politics to tear women down so as to allow men to climb, hasn't demanded laws that negatively impact primarily women to men's advantage, have almost zero political power, etc.) How does this minimize anything?
2) It is, however, trying to put it into perspective. As the perspective is based on fact rather than ideology, it is the facts themselves that minimize this issue you're addressing.

In my mind, there's nothing wrong with a little debate on various issues. We need to have this 'balance' here in order to ensure that we DON'T follow the feminist path of ideologically assumed superiority.

yes it comes down to a few things that seem to divide us

-general political ideology
-patriarchy (those who want it restored those who want a fully remodeled system)
-how much blame and attention we place on feminism
