I do apologise but I just checked the numbers and they are in fact 4.8 millions and increasing, which means by Christmas 2010 it will hit the five millions.

Now lets be clear about it. This number, as far as I know do not include children and retired people. It is the number of people who should be in productive work.

Here in the U.S. in 1994 we had a major turn over in congress. Democrats had rulled for decades and the welfare state was absolutely out of controll. We had a comperable percentage of people who were litteraly second and third generation wellfare recipients. Thats right, children whose parents and sometimes grandparents had NEVER WORKED! Newt Geingrich, and I am no longer a big fan of his but this is something he did right, simply said to all of them along with every other newly elected Republican: "you all got two more years and thats it." So from that point on you can only claim welfare bennies for a maximum of two years. People screamed beaple wept people called him a monster. But in the end they simply went out and got jobs. No one would dare dream of going back to those days now.

I keep hearing and reading comments along the lines of “get them sweeping the streets” and get them working on “other projects in the community” “make them work for their benefits”, people really just don't seem to get it at all do they, it would cost so much more to mobilise 4.5 million scroungers than it does to leave them sitting on their arses and why have 4.5 million lazy feckless scum doing a quarter arsed job of something that council workers are already making an half arsed job of, and of course all those council workers jobs would be suddenly lost to the army of unemployed anyway, so the situation would just be exasperated wouldn't it ? . there will always be some unemployed, some who just don't want to work no matter what, there's currently so many because it's easier and more lucrative not to work, there is work out there, even now in a recession but unemployment just pays more.

A serious shake up of the benefit system is so long overdue, the coalition keep talking about it but don't actually seem to do much, obviously they don't want to put so many potential voters noses out of joint but even a benefit shake up would not be enough, there's so much legislation and red tape surrounding businesses and employment that nobody wants to make anything here any more, the amount of ridiculously overbearing health and safety regulations alone are enough to make anyone think twice about doing any kind of activity where they might have to employ people and that's just for starters, next you have to think about who your allowed to employ, do you have the right mix of race and gender or have you got to many white blokes working for you, i mean, shit, in a country that's predominantly white and half the population is male we cant have that now, can we ???? i suppose it all really started to go pearius shapius with Thatchers service economy though, what exactly is a service economy when its at home anyway, seriously what the fuck is a service economy, who's gonna buy services when no fuckers got any money, can anyone explain that to me, because i just don't get it.

I do not see that happening over here. The English mentality is quite different in comparison with USA.

The pace of change, whenever begins, will be slow in order to avoid a costlier social strife. The hardest case to crack will be the case of single mothers. This section of scroungers will not surrender easily if at all. So much cash for nothing is being given that they'll fight the cuts all the way. Do not forget they are entitled women. Many are daughters of single mothers scroungers.
This is a culture of sex rock and roll in the bedroom and collect single parent benefits which has been going on for generations. They may have some control on it but the authorities will never erradicate it.

Well if the British goverment had any balls they would simply tell single mothers get off your fat asses and get a job because we can no longer aford to feed you, short sweet and simple and highly effective, either they get a job or starve in most cast we would see an even greater incress is single mothers selling themselves on the street corners as well as their daughters but hey of that's all they have to offer for momeny the older hags well be SOL while the younger girls well make some decent cash while they are still young and attractive and if they had any brains they would invest the money they made while keeping their back to the mattress, but then again women and girl in this day and age are not all that bright otherwise they never would have taken up with the femanazis and their lies as well as treating men like shit.

Who knows maybe that is to be the fate of women and girls in the western world when the global crash comes down the line.

Now, according with the ruling of European Union Commission made recently, it is illegal to restrict claimants from the EU. All the restrictions the UK. government has put on benefits claimants has to be scrapped. If the government follows the European law, it will mean that all single mothers from Greece to Denmark, will be entitled to claim equally as any United Kingdom's single mothers, all the same benefits, including free housing.

Needless to say, if such an event materialise the benefit system will collapse and eventually disappear from existence.
I just can hear the noise of those single mothers scurrying around the place looking for the father of their child for material support.

The silver lining is that the gravy train for single mothers of all ages will halt. No more easy going and free living on state benfit.

Perhaps such a crisis will sober up those legless judges in the family court making them stop destroying whatever is left of family life in the UK and, get the politicians to tell their feminists peers to get off, their time is up, they should go to sticht their husbands socks.

The crisis is impending. It just need a spark to set it off.

I do not believe the coalition has done enough in their latest emergency budget. In fact tax credits will be cut for those who are fortunate to have a job while child tax credit will go up to pay those who have never worked because they are single mothers with a lifestyle guaranteed by the UK. government.

So, in short, the rewards will fall on those who do not produce wealth, while those who do produce whealth are punished with further tax liabilities.
