A rally against Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had two key guests yesterday, Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin. When Clinton discovered that Palin was attending she cancelled. Now Palin has been uninvited. According to the CNN Political Ticker: “In order to keep the focus on Iranian threats and to ensure that this critical message not be obscured, the organizers of the rally have decided not to have any American political personalities appear,” the organizers, which include several Jewish groups, said in a statement. Spokesman Geln Rosencrantz would not confirm that a Politico report from high-profile Jewish Democrats pressured the group about Palin attending the event.
Ira Forman, , the Executive Director of the National Jewish Democratic Council, did tell reporters that his group did not approve of Palin being at the event. “We have a presidential election where the McCain-Palin ticket want to use what’s supposed to be a very, very bipartisan-type of operation to, again, use it as a campaign event," he said. Nobel Laureate Elie Wiesel will be one of the keynote speakers at the rally. Clinton and Palin were both to speak but Clinton bowed out after finding out Palin would attend. McCain issued a statement expressing his disappoint in the decision to nix Palin. Out of the gloom a voice spake unto me. 'Smile and be happy, Things could get worse." So I smiled and was happy, and behold... Things did get worse. ►My blog / Your Blog ►Please use the TAGS to help organise the content - found at the bottom of every thread ►If you have found a website that supports predominantly male clients, click here to list it so other men may make use of it.
