nothing compromises mens' rights more than marriage;

in this age for young men it is worth considering eschewing marriage altogether as a prophylactic measure agin the machinations of the feminit Family Court which view mens interests with extreme prejudice;

for a young professional a tradsman or in fact any man eschewing a confidence trick will channel his monies into his pocket not into hers and her attorneys'

men must abandon their mooney eyes romantic notions of wimyn leading to the odds on disaster that is modern marriage

This Save Indian Family movement(SIF in short) has been around since 2004 as a yahoogroup, now it has resulted in over 40 NGOs(non governmental organisations) in different names across India and USA.

Most of these NGOs protest/spread awareness about the way Men and his relatives are jailed based just on the statements of wives(yes you heard it right, just on an unsupported statement that the wife was harassed/abused for dowry or for any other reason, this law is called the Indian Penal Code(IPC) 498a which briefly reads "Cruelty by husband and relatives"). This IPC 498a is grossly misused throughout its existence of 26 years.

The statistics of 4 years show that around 500, 000 people were arrested without any evidence or investigation, this includes 125,000 women(mothers, sisters, grandmothers, etc.), 5000 senior citizens(over 60 years of age), and 500 children(below 18 years).

Some SIF NGOs fight for CHILD/Father rights solely, they could be seen as the F4Js in India, but there is no physical apex body for these NGOs other than the yahoogroup called SIF. We have strategically kept it all de-centralised so that we grow as we have more differences, and each new NGO only lend support to the movement with its specific style and tone.

I'm amazed this incredibly discriminatory law has been in existence for 26 years.

Anyway, however we can help in your fight we'll try to accomodate. I believe an exchange of ideas and information can be beneficial no matter what the cultural divide. We are still united under a common goal.

Good. We have a considerable number of Indian members (and probably many more lurkers looking at the traffic stats) but I just wish they'd come forward and post. If they can't express themselves here, where can they?
