I love that song, Chevalier. Metallica is one of my favorite bands. I have to admit, I've always wondered just exactly what was being talked about in this song, but you're interpretation of it, well, it sadly fits.

Are you a Metallica fan?

Yeah big time Metallica fan. The One is my favorite song.

It is about a soldier who steps on a landmine and loses his arms and legs he is also struck blind deaf and mute.

So he is trapped in the prison of his own body and as a result he prays for death.

I'm sure you've heard their song "Back to the Front" then? That one makes me so sad when I hear it. So does the song "One" that you just mentioned.

Oops...name of the song is "disposable heroes".....

Sadly, this is the song I can most relate to....Metallica's "Master of Puppets"...it talks about a drug addiction that I know something about from my own personal experience. And every word of the song is the truth....
