Leader of the Band
This is one of my all-time favorite songs. I credit my dad for my love of music and for sitting and playing all his records for me when I was a child. Dan Fogelberg was one of his favorites. This song makes me cry every time I hear it. What was shocking was that as I was googling this song, I saw a link that announced that Dan died this morning, having been diagnosed with prostate cancer back in 2004. So, I find it especially fitting to post this, not only as a tribute, but also in the memory of a great singer. The song, Leader of the Band is a tribute to Dan's father.

Re: Leader of the Band
I know, I was really shocked. I'd listened to the song earlier in the evening when I was at the gym and decided when I got home to post it on here. I was very sad to learn he'd passed away that morning.
