The song talks about her basically being a slave, being denied an education, being built like a mule isn't exactly a compliment, nor is having a permanently flat head from carrying buckets of water...."she do your laundry, she change a tire, chop a little wood for de fire...poke it around if it died down"...

Yeah a great girl...as she seemed to be willing to traditionally female jobs AND "his" jobs both....I'm sure most guys would agree, she's quite a catch.
