The 60's

Well, SOMEBODY had to do it.

I was born in '73 but, thanks to my father's influence, I've always loved some of the 'oldies' from the 60's.

The most influencial 60's band

Do you really need the name?

Thomas Jefferson once said "It takes time to persuade men to do even what is for their own good."

Feminuts are stupid, throw some common sense at them. They won't know what hit them.

Johnny Horton (1960-61?) "North to Alaska"

"Sink the Bismark"

O.k. so this one was released in 1959, I think...but close enough.

"Battle of New Orleans"

Re: The 60's

I can relate, Kim. I was born in '70, and my dad played his Johnny Horton records so much when I was a kid that I still know the words to the songs I posted above. Brings back memories to hear them again!

Re: The 60's

I always loved Jackie De Shannon's Walk in the room

it reflects the pangs of adolescent infatuation that can't quite be expressed and this song nails the emotion

I like Agnetha's version too from ABBA

Ah, don't tell me you don't like 'Knights in White Satin', RR......I feel like I did when my friend admitted to falling asleep during 'The Matrix'......it's nigh on blasphemy!
