Re: Feminism and Psychology
I like your video; it says it as it is.
I can speak from the experience of seeing dozens of these professionals over 8 years and even being slammed in the nut house for 8 months, that I just got loads of feminist BS from each and every one of them. Really all; the reports actually contained lots of blatant false hoods and outright lies – all pro feminist and not neutrally scattered is in genuine mistakes. You can imagine how they put down men and twist round everything. I got a mental health version of the family courts. If you think that’s a heavy statement then check what this guy found about them.
http://mensnewsdaily.com/2009/08/22/the-psychology-of-hate/
I don’t know how to say this without possibly sounding rude to members here who may have a connection with the profession, which is not my intention. It’s a personal remark in support of your view that psychology (and I would also add psychiatry) do seem to be a mockery of knowledge. I do actually say what you do about its comparison to alchemy – not science.
This may seem rude, but this is what I think. These subjects are having gone way off into a tangent to real knowledge. I also often say:
“Like a bunch of alchemists pretending to know chemistry”.
“Astrologers deluding themselves they understand cosmology”.
They convince me most of their guesses are just that. Bunch of ding-bat morons.
I just don’t see much evidence that they have a clue beyond their lefty prejudicial nonsense. Well look, if the subject had the merit they presume, then we could see improvements in the population regards to mental and emotional health. They might as well read tea leaves. Look back over a century, what impact or evidence is there of the subjects benefit to society. If anything, the mental health of people seems to have gone backwards.
Any other scientific subjects have proven themselves in massive improvements from their applications. Whichever subject; geology, biology, structural engineering, civil, electronic engineering, medicine... whatever the subject, after a century we see some real evidence that the knowledge is correct, but not the mental health subjects. We’ve got more of them and more varieties, but mental and social health standards go down the toilet.
What I find is the greatest reason of their incompetence; is how they can claim to know and study the mind and behaviour, when evolution or evolutionary psychology isn’t at the core of their subjects. Come on! That’s a bit like thinking you’re an engineer and not knowing any maths.
I swear that most of the ones I met were politicised feminist bafoons. The comments, analysis and observations were like a chimpanzee’s tea party.
They don’t know how the mind functions in responce to environmental stimuli and prefer to just wing it. They never did know what they were doing in all time. They just take a chance and interfere with your head. Remember how they just chopped the front of your brain off only a few decades ago to fix behaviour problems? They call that a science, why dint they just smack a patient with a hammer on the head. They were wrong; they know that because they stoped chopping the front of your brain off.
I’m mean think about it, pretty much any behaviour is going to go if you chop the front of your brain off. So they don’t do that now but still apply their ignorance with drugs and try and get you with a chemical lobotomy instead. Prize ding-bat bafoons.
Even to my Sinicism, I was shocked beyond belief as I witnessed people who gave me less confidence than I’d have of a tarot card assessment.Last edited by Trauma Fried Brains; 8th-September-2009 at 02:35 AM.

Re: Feminism and Psychology
Excellent video.
I personally have suffered depression for many years and seen too many of these characters.
I am better with the depression than I've ever been, due to eating a whole food diet. Saw a thing on PBS by a Dr. Mark Hyman, started the diet and the depression disappeared.
After this I think that the whole psychobabble profession is scandalous.
I'd like to hear from Lester Burnham on this because he's worked in the field, he's a stand up guy, and he's written about it.
The idea of a man needing help, seeking help, and then being attacked because he's a male is monstrous. Dr. Mengala?
Has anybody read Christina Hoff Sommers, One Nation Under Therapy? Be interested in her take on this profession.
If any of you brothers out there are suffering depression check out Dr. Mark Hyman The Ultrawellness blog. The book The Ultramind Solution is where I got the diet and it has worked very well for me.
Thanks for the video, it really is excellent work.

Re: Feminism and Psychology
I would like to point out that Percy is also a long time Psych proffesional too. He could give equally valuable insight as well. But I am sure that Lester would disagree with most of them! LOL!!!
You should read Lester's article on "The Psychology of Hate" in both his blog .
I think that this topic is of particular interest because I truly believe that the study of Psychology has tremendous potential to help humanity. However it has become largely politicized by Feminists. People will think that you are paranoid when you say that but it's true! There have been tremendous ramifications because of this.Do not ever suppose that a small group of people can never change the world. INDEED it is the only thing that ever has.

I FORGOT TERA!
She has been in the counceling/social work field for a while and can tell you firs had about the effect feminism has had there. She has stuck up for male victims of domestic violence at work. And I think that is cool! Look at her thread "politicaly incorrect move." I can't give a link because I am on my touchpod.Do not ever suppose that a small group of people can never change the world. INDEED it is the only thing that ever has.

Re: Feminism and Psychology
It became apparent to me in college studying psychology that the entire field (and sadly research...) has become politicized by feminism. It's an outrage, really, when the truth is all but completely buried for the promotion and protection of a political agenda.
There are honest therapists and researchers...and they have an ethical duty (my opinion) to promote truth over political correctness. The health and well-being of humanity depends upon it.
"Civilization can only revive when there shall come into being in a number of individuals a new tone of mind, independent of the prevalent one among the crowds, and in opposition to it- a tone of mind which will gradually win influence over the collective one, and in the end determine its character. Only an ethical movement can rescue us from barbarism, and the ethical comes into existence only in individuals."

TERA, is my post on this string a rudeness to you, in connection with how you feel about your career?

Re: Feminism and Psychology
I became interested in psychology way back when I was in the military and went through the selection process for commissioning. Testing people in a very practical way as well as theoretical was the method used so I started to research just what and how it was done. From small starts.....
The field was quite fractured even then. It was like putting jigsaw pieces together. Finding the pieces was a game played by academics who had 'schools' of theory. Even now thare are at least 14 quite different theories of personality.
Deduction is the main means used by academics, with a smattering of experiment. The deductive process is heavily bound by assumptions and 'frameworks'. Bridge-building it ain't. Making widgets, it ain't. Castles in the air is more like it. Just look at evolutionary psychology ! Not a shed of evidence supports thousands of books!
The profession used to be predoninantly 'male', and older chaps at that; most would preface every statement with 'I don't know, but...' and ask and prod until a glimmer of knowledge was discernable. But since the 70's and 80's (as with much else), it has been invaded by young women with cradle marks on their bums, every one a 'relationship expert' simply by their natural endowment. Chaps are not permitted to disagree with them as that is simply patriarchal oppression and lets face FACTs, every opinion is worth just as much as any other. They say. Hah! Anything they learn in Uni is simply to reinforce their teenage views. They grow taller and put on weight but the head remains just as empty. Most work for the 'Health Departments which deal with anything but health, or the 'helping sevices' which neither serve not help, and all are bound rigidly by the 'departmental rules' created by cretins and gerbils.
I have very little faith in the Integrity of the Profession. It has become a carnival for Gurus and shysters. The one or two really fine people who actually make effect for the better are buried under a heap of dross.
I, of course, am right far more often than wrong.

Re: Feminism and Psychology
i'm surprised to find that a discussion has blossomed forth. Having people tell you that they liked the video and found it accurate is one thing, but when I see discussions springing forth from the video, thats the crown jewel.
I know i stepped on some toes on the mensrights reddit, with this video. I didn't realize how popular psychology was. To me its always been kinda silly. You don't go to a shrink to get help, you just go to get pills you can sell later for more money, or to get on SSI. LoL
My immediate family was raised better than that, but I do have some unscrupulous cousins who just love to bleed the system for every dime. Frankly i could care less, because the system lends itself to abuse. Plus the more people abuse it, the sooner it will fall to ruin. As a social darwinist I really could care less about those who "really need help".
