Yes...reminds me of family court with all the marshalls. There are at least 5-6 police officers present for a board meeting. I'd like to know if that is the normal amount present. Most likely none or 1 show up at other times.

They must have seen the ad and so they are watching out in case the men go berserk.

Someone should tell the "family place" that families are typically comprised of Children, Dads, and Moms. (alphabetical order).

I dealt with folks like that years back when I asked for help when I was being attacked by my then-wife. "Sorry we can't help you, good luck...CLICK...dial tone..."

Maybe their call center woman deviated from the script and added the "good luck" comment on her own? However she did hang up on me so as to have more time to solely serve women's needs.

I cannot imagine working in a place that turns away people needing help in such a glib manner. It's like they don't realize they were just on the phone with someone who needs some help.

Such hate mongering adverts only serve to reinforce the general perception that only men commit domestic violence. This of course is the intention!

Is it not time for some honesty, balance and transparency when such biased adverts are placed? I wonder what, if any, regulations have to be adhered to when placing such adverts in the public sphere? Is it at the sole discretion of the advertizer to determine whether such controversial ads are placed? Or is it solely down to the almighty dollar?

Furthermore, I wonder if hypothetically a mens group funded a similar DV campaign solely depicting women as potential abusers and murderers - if the same bus company would be so accommodating?

Good to see those fathers making their voices heard.

A small number of men are being heard.

Meanwhile the ads are still running all over the city and will continue for the duration of the ad contract with no changes, nothing pulled, nothing.

Let's see what happens afterwards. I think the ads run out in a few more weeks. I sure hope they don't get renewed and expanded. Or if they are kicked off the buses, that they do not show up somewhere else a week later.

I wonder if there are any MRAs here who are graffiti artists? Maybe that skill and talent could be employed to help convey our message. No need for advertizing costs.
