    MensNet TV

In New York, there is a public access television programme called MensNet, in which men's issues are discussed.

This is the official MensNet website: http://anonym.to/?http://www.mensnettv.org/

Fortunately, a MensNet channel was launched on YouTube last week, meaning that people living outside of New York can watch the show too.

This is the channel: MensNet TV

To date, four episodes have been uploaded (they're all divided into three parts):

    Failing at Flirting (Sexual Harassment)
    Part one
    Part two
    Part three

    About Us

MensNet has a goal: to raise the consciousness of today's men:

    - They need not feel guilty about past gender roles.
    - They must address the "feminization of America."
    - Women copying men's faults is the great feminine mistake.
    - Traditional roles were worse for men than women.
    - The high divorce rate is a symptom of the problem.
    - People should be proud of their biological differences.
    - Today's progressive man has been conned by feminism.
    - There is a war against our schoolboys as well.
    - The women's movement is hypocritical.
    - Fathers in divorce are the "disposable parent."

And, the longest war, the battle of the sexes, is easily being won by feminists, because only they have showed up.

Tony Nazzaro has been a vocal presence in the "Men's Movement" for over 10 years and has made dozens of appearances on nationwide television talk shows. Tony said, "I started the MensNet TV program in May 1999 because I felt there was a very strong need for men to discuss gender issues."

An avid editorialist on men's issues, Tony has been quoted in articles and on news programs from as far away as China. "Upon returning from the Army after two years [as a volunteer] in Vietnam," Tony said, "I realized something was wrong with our society. The difference from 1968 to 1970 with the women's movement and the sexual revolution seemed like day and night, especially if you had a problem with those changes." Married in 1975, he and his ex-wife had three daughters before they divorced in 1995.

Tony joined the Men's Movement in 1987 as part of the National Organization for Men. The following year, he joined the National Center for Men, rising to the position of Deputy Director. After leaving the NCM, Tony went back to the NOM for a year as the Membership Director. Tony split off from both organizations, forming the Men's Action Network (MAN) in 1995. Though the MAN still exists organizationally, Tony felt a greater need to take his views to the TV screen. Entire media and seminar experience.

Roy Barreca, co-host and producer, started as a men's activist in 1990 when he assumed the role of Public Relations Director for the National Center for Men. Roy has discussed men's rights and gender clashes on such television shows as Donahue, Sally Jessy Raphael, Jerry Springer, The Maury Povich Show and Nine Broadcast Plaza with Matt Lauer, along with many others. Read Roy's biography.

Here is some footage from the programme: http://anonym.to/?http://video.googl...4248&ei=&hl=en

    Movie: "A Father's Rights"

There is a movie that a father's rights advocate just created called, "A Father's Rights." The movie is very professionally made, with Hollywood-grade quality. The trailer alone is compelling drama, and it presents the perspective of the father favorably as he navigates the insanity of the family court and his abusive Ex. Based on the trailer, I would say that the acting is also superb, and the footage captures not just the political aspects surrounding the father's rights cause, but also the sexual dynamics between men and women. This movie appears to be spot-on. I am amazed that something of this quality is being produced by someone sympathetic to our underfunded movement. But for once, we have someone with a gift for cinematic story telling who has stuck out his neck and made a film that is worthy of our support.

    The trailer is here:
    http://g2rdistribution.com/afr.trailer.html

You can purchase the full video for only $15.00 USD here:
    http://g2rdistribution.com/

You can watch it online for only $7.50.

    Married With Children

This American TV show from 1987 is a a form of Male Activism in the mass media in certain ways. It deserves to be revered.

TV shows are often a reflection of the society at the time of the shows making" - there was a lot of social commentary going on in the show, so one must consider the social and political issues of the time, which I think was the point more so than any overt or intended activism.

I think they managed to say a lot of subversive things under the pretense of making fun of Al, but really it was Al's life that comes out looking bad.
Get a job, get married, have kids - and this is what you have to look forward to. This is how your family will behave.

Best show EVER (other than MAYBE South Park).

There are some ungodly quotes out there from Al Bundy, but last night there was a 1st or 2nd season show on that had maybe the GREATEST quote in TV history.

I searched the web and could not find it exactly. I can't believe they were allowed to say this on public TV in the USA, but here is the set-up.

Marcy is having problems turning on her husband Steve. She is trying everything, and about to give up. Finally she goes to the only man she can go to, Al.

    Al tells her...

"Men don't need women, but women need men. Men can survive on their own, without the hassals women bring to their lives. If a woman wants to keep a man happy, she needs to take care of her man. Cook for him, clean for him, dress nicely for him."

The she breaks in and says something about "cave man", and Al just says "fine" and walks away.

So Marcy runs and begs for him to continue. And he goes on about how men don't need women and their bullshit, so if you can't be a GOOD woman, you don't deserve a man.

I still cannot believe it was EVER shown on USA TV.

The main character Al Bundy was never a moron. He just found himself in an untenable situation. A wife that hates him, kids that hate him, neighbors that hate him.

Yet, the guy gets up every day and goes to work putting shoes on fat women's feet. Never gives up, never says die, and keeps going despite all he really has left is the titty bar and the 4 touchdowns he scored in a game.

Gotta admire a guy like that. He's learned to live with nothing. That's why everyone cheered when he showed up in the scene. He adapted to his circumstances and embodied everything a man is supposed to do: persevere. Every guy identifies with being unappreciated. Every man is Al Bundy and Al Bundy is every man.

In fact a quote to back this up, from Al himself. And this has been posted here before:

“So you think I’m a loser? Just because I have a stinking job that I hate, a family that doesn’t respect me, a whole city that curses the day I was born? Well, that may mean ‘loser’ to you, but let me tell you something: Every morning when I wake up, I know it’s not going to get any better until I go back to sleep again. So I get up, have my watered down Tang and still-frozen Pop Tart, get in my car with no upholstery, no gas and six more payments to fight traffic just for the privilege of putting cheap shoes on the cloven hooves of people like you. I’ll never play football like I thought I would, I’ll never know the touch of a beautiful woman, and I’ll never again know the joy of driving without a bag on my head. But I’m not a loser. ‘Cause despite it all, me and every other guy who’ll never be what he wanted to be are still out there, being what we don’t wanna be, forty hours a week—for life. And the fact that I haven’t put a gun to my mouth, you pudding of a woman, makes me a winner!”

    Do It Yourself Video Activism

Those skilled in the arts of video making should produce videos about Men's Rights issues. As this media type can convey more than written text and a powerful format for activism.

    Example:

This is a idea for a videoclip: Use the song Yesterday by Paul McCartney to set the mood. The video tells the story of a nameless man who's been treated wrongly by the secretive divorce corporations. He looks back on the good days prior to divorce when he lived happily with his children and wife in a decent neigborhood. Then fast forward you see him in a shoddy small appartment, he lost a lot of his possessions, monthly income and children. The children turn out as dysfunctional bastard children due to the abscense of their father. It could also be visualized with photos. At the credits show some links to sites and organizations that can help these wronged fathers.

These videos can be published at popular places like youtube.

Please share your ideas for videos.

The movie "the Mission" depicted one of the most courageous acts in history. For whatever oppinion you might hold of Jesuit missionaries consider what this man did....his collegue had just been returned to him over the Orinoco falls head first crucified on a cross...he said that he must get through to the hearts and minds of the natives...he entered the forest alone...when advised to take a weapon he held up his flute "If they will listen to my music they will listen to me".

"Give the Jesuits an orchestra and they could conquor the world"

If you have a talent for music or the performing arts....if you work in multimedia...you are the ones who will win this...not the politicians.

Yes, the persuasive power of the media.

Music etc affects people very much, many people regard it as representing something special and see messages in the work that are of value.

When I was a lad, I was influenced by anarchistic bands, but closer investigation revealed that my "hero's" where sell outs and lefties!

I think class issues come to the fore a lot.

Seems that when a person has the resources to influence, they tend to not have the same problems in their immediate environment.

Paul MacCartwheels is a classic example.

Yeah, everyone goes on and on about his breakup with Long John Silvers great grand-daughter, but, the financial settlement she took away did not really affect his standard of living one drop did it?

Which is probably why selfish bastards like that dont put their resources and energies into the causes like we would like them to!

For sure, the message needs to be put to the public in a sweeter form than as it is now, predominantly negative moaning and intellectual legal masturabation that does not really persuade the plebs to read and consume, let alone think about..

    Re: Video Activism

Satire, humour, straight cobbling together videos clips of women's bad behaviour with a coda added - "Is your daughter empowered yet"? or "Feminism put meaning in their lives. Look at them now" or "Barefoot and pregnant and a mile from the kitchen. Haven't women come a long way" - all put up on UTube or passed around attached to emails. All good stuff.

Or a video of a screaming woman whacking and kicking some bloke, with a caption " Domestic Violence - HE will be arrested". Ot a caption "When she's finished with him, the Police will MACE him"

How about a beautiful wedding scene with the caption, "'Til Family Court us do part" or "For richer or poorer - well poorer for him when her lawyers has finished"

Maybe Tyreal and David banner should get a team together, like Luke has. I know DDB is interested in this. Make a project of it, Involve others.

    Re: Video Activism

Aye.. I think that if the stuff created is gonna be just in the "closed loop" of the MRM blogs/forums etc the it will only be seen by those who are looking for it, preaching to the converted comes to mind!!

There is far too much of that as it is!!

Would be good to put it out mainstream if possible somehow. Thats where f4j got their fame from, stunts etc that caught the media attention..

You know, real fathers 4 justice have some cracking good videos (even some with me in them..) from their protests etc, but they are, sadly, in that limited circle of viewers, i.e. they will be found by people specifically looking for them!

While "video activism" has its merits, lets not forget that its easier to, for example, create pamphlets,. flyers, etc and stuff that can be left all round, stuck to walls, hung off policemans helmets, etc.. for people to pick up.

I remember commisioning a chappie to do some stickers a few years ago.. That was the last I saw of him at meetings (funny how folk dissapear shortly after they have volunteered to do something!)

Husband : "How about the ones like mine?"
Wife : "Those they gave away."

Husband : "That's where they held the auction."

And what are you doing about that, Danarus?

No-one starts out competent. They try, and get better and then they become competent. If they keep trying they get really good at it. And if they don't stop trying they become expert.

There isn't another way, believe me.

Start today with a delusion of adequacy - and make it real.

the feminist male gobbling machinery is activated the moment butthead signs the peonage contract in the grips of delusions of true love and commitment
