call or write
CKNW Radio based in Vancouver is doing a series on Men/ Fathers who have been battered and abused by females. They are asking for men to send in their personal stories ASAP and can be anonmyous.
They have been spotlighting that men in this situation have lost their kids and can not call the police for help in fact several experts have come on to say calling the police is dangerous for men.
Judging by the reaction many people are not even aware this exists and many stories have highlighted that the police arrested the man and many were laughed at by society.
This is a 2 week series that continues next week as well.
CKNW - Vancouver News Talk Sports Radio AM980 morning news with Phillip Till. Broadcasts can be heard online and via podcast for past shows missed.

I'm not Canadian, but I can email them the online Domestic Violence
petition. It now has 208 signators and was posted for the purpose of gauging public opinion regarding this problem. Under the Comments section, a lot of those who signed describe what has happened to them
or is still happening to them.

Re: call or write
This is very real. The problem is, nothing will be done about it and in fact by drawing attention to it, the message that is recieved by the women that behave in this way is that they can continue to do so..
Also, it will encourage those who may not behave that way to consider this "extra perk"..
In a society that has no will to ever make females accountable when they abuse men, highlighting that they can get away with it wont in itself make things better. In fact, the opposite..

Re: call or write
As more men and boys see this publicity, less and less will put up with abuse.
This is particularly true for those who have been talking themselves into taking it thus far. You don't have to call the "cuntstables" as you say;
you can, where feasible, make your escape quickly.Last edited by bababob; 7th-March-2009 at 08:18 PM. Reason: Revision ...
