The thing that turns me completely off of Leykis is the gleeful way he presents many things. He enjoys peoples' humiliation, and makes fun of the stupid ones - who don't catch on. Other than that one thing, though, I think he provides a valuable service. He's been married and divorced 4 times, though, so I don't know if I'd take his advice on how to choose a good one!

I listened to a show about women wanting to work less hours, and I liked the way he dressed down a critic... he didn't insult her, he didn't swear at her, he was soft spoken, but he dissected everything this woman said and threw it back at her, and I just have to admire something like that. She was full of shit, and Tom was right. She felt that women should work less hours than men because women do all the chores and (yadda yadda feminist bullshit)... but he responded: "Why should we pick up the slack for you? What does your problems at home have to with work?" And he's right. It is bullshit. I think the tough way of handling critics is a great way of getting your point across in the face fascist suppression. The thing that turns me completely off of Leykis is the gleeful way he presents many things. He is blatantly honest about his situation as far as his marriages are concerned. He was raised by parents that were married for over 50 years I do believe. He states that he is there purely to sell advertising but confesses that he has made a deliberate decision to attract a male audience and he frames his entire program to appeal to that audience.
Quite a few callers suggest his audience are only loosers and morons but as he states the majority of times his audience are intelligent and possess a high IQ(according to surveys his station have made). The callers that take the effort to call in are those on the lower end of brainpower and really need a good rollicking as their situation have detriorated to such a degree that they have hit bottom..
I am listening at the moment on the web to a Leykis 101 ( date, 2 August 2008, 2.20 pm) session and we have the usual disbelievers and the usual feminists ranting and trying to kill the discussion and trying to make some flagrant comment just before he dumps them..
It is a program that may be blunt and flagrant but it definately is entertaining and helpful to the males out there that are screwed on a daily basis..

Menstuff
The theme of Menstuff is to highlight positive images of many of the magic things men do, their vibrant contribution to the community, their care and concern for those they love, their interests, hobbies, work, sports etc. The programmes talk to men about their own health experiences.
"Things for Dad's to do with kids" is a slot to talk about ordinary, but important activities that Dad's can do easily.
Menstuff looks at nutrition issues for men and for dad's to feed their kids.
"Gadgets for guys" is a new section with Niall Mac Carthaigh looking at new gadgets coming onstream which may interest men.
"Men in the Media" is a slot being developed by Alan Beirne scoping out current meida coverage of issues that affect men.
Luke Martin Men's Health and Welfare officer with Parental Equality provides a contact for dad's to seek information and support.
The team have completed the first series on ten programmes in the first half of 2006 and we have produced a CD of the first series (10 hours) in MP3 format. You can have a
CD sent to you by forwrding your address to info@liamog.com. We ask you to contribute towards the cost of production to keep expanding the process.
We are presently half way through the second series.
The programme is scheduled to go out live on www.dundalkfm.com every second Thursday from 7-8 pm.Subscribe to my accounts on DocStoc, Scribd, Twitter and YouTube.

Spot on John, he is the response to the female gold digger and their determination to have a baby by any means possible and entrap a man for a quarter of his life without any thought of the consequences..
Apparently the majority of his audience consists of middle class types and it's only the numbskulls that call in mostly, explaining that they fell for the golden vagina and now have their lives ruined because of it. Good old entrapment, there should be a law against that one..
