I spelled it wrong. I asked my female theripist how a victim of sexual abuse becomes a statistic. You know the commonly held belief the men molest and it is extremly rare for a woman to molest. She said it would have to be reported to the police and not be outside the statute of limitations for prosicution. So In order for the frequency of mothers molesting thier children to be a stat. Men, or boys would have to tell the police. And be belived. Have you ever tried tellin g the police your mother molested you? What man will say there mother molested them to the public? What reaction do we get? What reaction does a girl of woman get? They are vastly different. It is best for a man to keep it secret because no one wants to here it or he is told thatis extremly rare. Men have to report it to the police for it to be a statistic. What policeman will listen?

But then again if more boys reported it then eventualy it would be noticed by someone and then statistics would be gathered. The same basic thing has happened with female on male dv stats. First it was ignored then it was investigated [not by the police but by researchers] and then the stats put out there. But I understand I live in Arkansas and I know how men are treated who report things that aren't supposed to happen.
