men and religion

I couldn't help myself to be affected by the plight of men in religion from this site. So much was I affected that I (sort of) challenged a wonderful leader of religion in NZ and a leader of the men's movement going back decades.

He is a really nice guy and he has been in print and I am sure he has been on radio and since he is way up there in education papers he gets a say in the "crap world of research".

He is documented with the best.

Anyhow, he has started a site for men and religion. Men in NZ are lost in this as expected. But he does not have the knowledge that the men here do of what is happening to religion.

I don't want to take people away from this site or others but ask for help if you have the time. We are behind in all this and the truth is that things just sneak in without us knowing half the time.

I want to invite those from a religion background and understanding of what is going on so you can help us in NZ.

Dear friends

I have started a new yahoo group:

men_and_religion

This group is a forum for discussing men's issues as they relate to religion,
including (but not limited to) responses (or the lack thereof) from religious
organisations to issues affecting men and fathers.

It is open to followers of any belief system as well as those who do not follow any
and is intended to be a forum for open dialogue.

It will not be a forum for "bashing" others' religious beliefs.

This group has been formed in response to people wanting to discuss religious issues
on men's and fathers' lists on which such discussion is off-topic.

I am sending you an invitation to join this group and to partake in the discussion
if you are interested.

Kind regards

Darryl Ward

Can I invite some of you guys. please. I can't do this. Only you can.

Re: men and religion

I'll help out. But you need to know that I am a Mormon and we aren't usually welcomed anywhere let alone in discussions about religion amongst people who do not share our beliefs. So if it comes down to Mormon bashing I will be outta there.

Feminuts are stupid, throw some common sense at them. They won't know what hit them.

Re: men and religion

Unity is strength brethren. Who can judge? Well only God. Jewish, Catholic, Protestant,Mormon whatever a spiritual belief men as us have much much in common.
Leave the theology to theologians . Doctrine is of course important but for unity among us of different persuasions it must be based on a fraternal and respectful acceptance of differing doctrines

feminism is a disease the Doc is working on a cure. Symptoms include compulsive liar, constant aggression, allergic to logic, often affects women who are fat with short hair and big earings, but can be normal looking.
Reason tablets three taken daily. If the sufferer displays shaming tactics double the dose. Remarkably the illness disappears in disaster zones.
