Do you really think someone can actually run a business off emotion?

To be sure some of the best bosses that I have ever had were female. But almost everyone I know, both male and female, will tell you that they prefer working for a man. Women have a tendency to take just about everything personaly, and generaly speaking, have a harder time making a decision.
Also, it's one thing to have an asswhole male boss, you can always ask him to step outside. Also because of social restraints, men will only go so far in abusing thier employees. Men also tend to respect personal boundries at work a little better too.
But I tell you from personal experience, you have not had a realy bad boss untill you have had a bad female boss. If a female boss doesn't like you its not enough just to try to get you fired. She has to ruin your whole life. I know that this sounds realy misogynistic and I am not a misogynist but if you are working for an insecure woman who is threatened by you she will stop at nothing to damage you in every way. Slander is the favored wepon of the insecure female boss. She will attack your reputation at every turn and sabatoge your work. Men who engage in this type of behavior are derided as hapless and weak-and they are. Women, however can hide behind the cloak of victimhood and perceved female virtue and can get away with just about anything and still come up smelling like roses. A psycho female boss knows this and will always use it to her advantage. Women can be down right dangerous to work for for this very reason.
Sorry ladies I don't mean to negative rant like this but I feel that what I say is absolutely true.

Rohara, you are not being 'misogynistic' ... you are telling it like it is. I know, I had it happen to me ... especially the slander and sabotage part.
The only thing you may have missed is the spotting and use of powerful male figures to back them up, if they are exposed for their shenanigans.
A common comment by my male colleagues was the phrase, "Have you achieved 'target' status yet?"

I don't mind working for a female boss - I'm happy with either, as long as both leave me to do my job in peace.

What I note with female bosses though, is they bully using ties rather than you directly.

e.g. I had one boss tell my (then) girlfriend that I was having an affair with a fellow female worker. Why? Because I'd threatened to take her to court for unfair dismissal (of my then g/f - not me).

Anyway, I'd like to know why are the experts running around trying to find politically correct excuses.... reasons for the outcome of this study?

I agree. Many women think that men have a problem with a female authority figure and it's a myth. Where most problems come frome is simple differences in communication style.

Influence, bullying, and abuse by proxy is a very prominant and prefered method of the female psychopath. If you are being manupulated by a practiced one it will take you a while to catch on, if at all.

Yes, it is a myth.

Many women in authoritative roles have a sexist preconception that men automatically resist this power structure. The fact is, many men know that women in management hold all usual power such a position affords them, but also all the power a woman holds over a man, unlike a male boss. If things go awry in the workplace, which sex could unleash the most devastion if they so chose?

The best and worse bosses I ever had were women. After #1, the worse ones were all feminists or feminized men. Wonder why I didn't like them...

The best was Dottie (Dorothy). She was the business owner's wife and was great at communication to distribute to the managers what the owner wanted. She knew how to relay information. She was 70, old school, respectful, knowing the managers were entrusted with more than just authority over employees. Not a speck of feminism or political correctness in that woman. Someone warned her that unless she became PC and modern, she would go out of business. She replied she didn't care about the consequences, that her standards were more important than the dollar. Now why can't females today do that? Oh that's right, because they divorced the father of their kids and now has to work a job while strangers raise their kids. Morons...

Dottie is now 89, retired. Her husband is 94! They sold their biz to one manager about ten years ago for a million more than they bought it for. I respect her use of tact, without dishonesty or half-truths.

I can personally agree with that study.
I have written about my experiences at the paper printing place where I was an electrical technician, in other places on this site.

Maybe these were just the wrong women, to be in authority, in an industrial situation.
Reason I say that, is because there were other women working there that I got on really well with, even under pressure and there was a LOT of that, especially at print time.

I have never been screamed at, verbally abused (personally) like that since.
Boy, am I glad they got the arse from there.

I was there about 2 weeks back, oddly enough, hooking up some new metering gear (the power had to be shut down, in between print times to do it) and the staff were an absolute sea-change from what I was expecting, I even got coffee and some choccy biscuits while I was doing the work.

"The witches are dead" is what one person said to me, who am I to disagree with that.
