All I can say about this issue is this,
It is absolute rubbish.
It is just another feminist attempt to further blur the Gender lines.

Men wear ties after all, if you are wearing a shirt or indeed a tie that is too tight, you are doing it all wrong, get yourself another job that does not require the intelligence to be able to tie a tie correctly, or even buy a shirt that fits you.
The neck of the shirt will choke you before the tie does.
