Male to Female Communication: A Metaphor

I really enjoyed the book "Women Can't Hear What Men Don't Say" by Warren Farrell, and as i watched this clip from Being John Malkovich a few days after i finished the book, i noticed an interesting parallel.

The boss is the generation of men who accompanied but felt uneasy about the second wave of feminism in the seventies. They were told that what they were saying made no sense, because supposedly the women had a "degree in speech impedimentology"; they were always right and not to be questioned.

The woman represents many feminists, who assume what men are saying doesn't make sense, but don't take the time to consider that it might just need to be interpreted in the right way, in another truer context. Maybe THEY aren't listening.

I guess the young man, Craig Schwartz, is the modern men's movement. We know what we're saying makes sense, and we realize it's the secretary who is making the mistake, not us. We're trying to explain that to the boss.

Actually the 'speech' caption above is a nonsensical question. It should be 'what do you THINK you can bring'.

Cum dilectione hominum et odio vitiorum
Love the Sinner but not the Sin.
    (St. Augustine)

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. “
    (and within ourselves)
    (Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)

A Feminist is a human being who has lost her way and turned vicious.
If you meet one on the road as you Go your Own Way,
offer kindness but keep your sword drawn.
