I wasn't sure where to ask this so I figured it might fit under "men's mental health" I've been working in a government environment for a while, with many females, and have wondered more than once if I should look for work in a more male-intensive area, to escape some of the frustration from political correctness (my married manager is a mangina sleeping with a co-worker - he and I barely speak). Obvious choices would be trades, emergency health or law enforcement - any suggestions? Feminism = Fear + Flattery

Bachelor tom HOW MANY TIMES!!! I have thought of the same thing. I have opted out and LOST MONEY rather than work in female dominated workplaces.Having had so many negative experiences nagging, lies ,sexual harrassment YES it happens to men! Think freelance if you can .Start your own business maybe you have skills that you could be hired for in and out of different places. Motorbike/Car/Courier looks a cool option also more dangerous. Many men I have met do taxis beacuase they dont have to deal with office environments which are my idea of HELL. Even in taxis caution I recall a female taxi controller threatening a taxi man with PHYSICAL VIOLENCE over the radio why?He missed a job -caught in traffic.OTHER WAY ROUND HE WOULD face instant dismissal!!!! So The type of Taxi should be independent work for yourself no middle men/ women.Funny I have preached MRA stuff at many taxi drivers one was so bowled over he pulled over and we spoke outside my house for 15 mins!He agreed with ALL I said!! Depends what you are in.The truth is that men tend to congregate in harsher workplaces.Sewers,Shipping,Security. All is not sweetness and light among men of course so research helps. Website design is an area worth thinking about too!A few random thoughts.Libraries sometimes have books which list unusual careers as well these are worth browsing.Hope this helps Good Luck mate.We are alll headed the way you are thinking as government squeezes us out of everywhere with their pc crap!. feminism is a disease the Doc is working on a cure. Symptoms include compulsive liar, constant aggression, allergic to logic, often affects women who are fat with short hair and big earings, but can be normal looking. Reason tablets three taken daily. If the sufferer displays shaming tactics double the dose. Remarkably the illness disappears in disaster zones.

thanks Brad, good feedback, you seem like a decent guy I have relatives in the trades and have often wondered if the emotional environment in such work is healthier ie. less catty, petty, two-faced, back-stabbing, nit-picking, anti-intellectual... I've always been good with my hands (but try making a living in the music biz, you still have to please the same audience)

I remember my brother and I taking a course in motor vehicle mechanics, thinking along the line that you do. We both paid hard-earned cash for a course without job placement assistance. Unbeknowst to us, there was another course running alongside ours for women only, which was free, and offered job placement assistance - paid for by the government. With quotas in fields like policing and firefighting, I fear there really aren't any job areas where men can hide out any longer. If it's male dominated, the women will come. Don't believe me? Men were the majority of bankers in the 1930's and are now scarcely seen. Men were the majority of medical students as well, now making up 40% of students in some countries like Britain, and still dropping. Ditto for law. Quotas in engineering and computing have seen increases there as well. You can run, but you can't hide. Male bashing and sexual harassment laws are now an inherent feature to most every workplace.

Simple, Get a job in the trades. I've been an electrician here in NZ for ages, and we can't attract women to this field, at least not on the "tools" side of it. Must be all those nasty spiders in roofs and under floors. Or it could be the inherent threat of, dear Lord, breaking a nail. Women seem to prefer jobs where there is no need for them to get thier hands or clothes dirty.

YES, I strongly advise a job in the building trades. This is one reason why I advised my son to learn a trade; it will almost guarantee a female-free work environment.

I once knew a man who ran a car repair shop. He bought his son a new corvette, and a 2nd one for his 14yo daughter even though she couldn't drive it. He had enough money from his car repair business that a 2nd new corvet was a trinket. Engineering, construction, farming, manufacturing, any job where there is real work to do is a man's job. Females only accept jobs where they can sit around and gossip all day. Blessings Bob

I'm sorry to say it, but women really don't seem suited to full-time work. They have no loyalty and no serious interest in the tasks assigned. And who needs more distracting eye-candy? Not me, especially with sexual harassment laws as they are. Now, there may be lesbians who are more able to integrate with the work world; I'd rather have them than airheads warming chairs for unearned paychecks.

One surefire way to find a job with a low percentage of females is to look for anything (seemingly) dirty, dangerous or lonely. Maybe a nightwatchman?
