jobs with least women?
I wasn't sure where to ask this so I figured it might fit under "men's mental health"
I've been working in a government environment for a while, with many females, and have wondered more than once if I should look for work in a more male-intensive area, to escape some of the frustration from political correctness (my married manager is a mangina sleeping with a co-worker - he and I barely speak). Obvious choices would be trades, emergency health or law enforcement - any suggestions?Feminism = Fear + Flattery

Re: jobs with least women?
Bachelor tom HOW MANY TIMES!!! I have thought of the same thing.
I have opted out and LOST MONEY rather than work in female dominated workplaces.Having had so many negative experiences nagging, lies ,sexual harrassment YES it happens to men!
Think freelance if you can .Start your own business maybe you have skills that you could be hired for in and out of different places.
Motorbike/Car/Courier looks a cool option also more dangerous. Many men I have met do taxis beacuase they dont have to deal with office environments which are my idea of HELL. Even in taxis caution I recall a female taxi controller threatening a taxi man with PHYSICAL VIOLENCE over the radio why?He missed a job -caught in traffic.OTHER WAY ROUND HE WOULD face instant dismissal!!!!
So The type of Taxi should be independent work for yourself no middle men/ women.Funny I have preached MRA stuff at many taxi drivers one was so bowled over he pulled over and we spoke outside my house for 15 mins!He agreed with ALL I said!!
Depends what you are in.The truth is that men tend to congregate in harsher workplaces.Sewers,Shipping,Security.
All is not sweetness and light among men of course so research helps.
Website design is an area worth thinking about too!A few random thoughts.Libraries sometimes have books which list unusual careers as well these are worth browsing.Hope this helps Good Luck mate.We are alll headed the way you are thinking as government squeezes us out of everywhere with their pc crap!.feminism is a disease the Doc is working on a cure. Symptoms include compulsive liar, constant aggression, allergic to logic, often affects women who are fat with short hair and big earings, but can be normal looking.
Reason tablets three taken daily. If the sufferer displays shaming tactics double the dose. Remarkably the illness disappears in disaster zones.

Re: jobs with least women?
thanks Brad, good feedback, you seem like a decent guy
I have relatives in the trades and have often wondered if the emotional environment in such work is healthier ie. less catty, petty, two-faced, back-stabbing, nit-picking, anti-intellectual...
I've always been good with my hands (but try making a living in the music biz, you still have to please the same audience)Feminism = Fear + Flattery

Re: jobs with least women?
I remember my brother and I taking a course in motor vehicle mechanics, thinking along the line that you do. We both paid hard-earned cash for a course without job placement assistance. Unbeknowst to us, there was another course running alongside ours for women only, which was free, and offered job placement assistance - paid for by the government.
With quotas in fields like policing and firefighting, I fear there really aren't any job areas where men can hide out any longer. If it's male dominated, the women will come. Don't believe me? Men were the majority of bankers in the 1930's and are now scarcely seen. Men were the majority of medical students as well, now making up 40% of students in some countries like Britain, and still dropping. Ditto for law.
Quotas in engineering and computing have seen increases there as well.
You can run, but you can't hide. Male bashing and sexual harassment laws are now an inherent feature to most every workplace.

Re: jobs with least women?
Simple,
Get a job in the trades.
I've been an electrician here in NZ for ages, and we can't attract women to this field, at least not on the "tools" side of it.
Must be all those nasty spiders in roofs and under floors.
Or it could be the inherent threat of, dear Lord, breaking a nail.
Women seem to prefer jobs where there is no need for them to get thier hands or clothes dirty.

Re: jobs with least women?
YES, I strongly advise a job in the building trades. This is one reason why I advised my son to learn a trade; it will almost guarantee a female-free work environment.

Re: jobs with least women?
This may have been the case for awhile, but it seems that now many fire departments are beginning to wise up and see that women just aren't as effective as men. The FDNY in particular seems to have realized this, especially after the tragedy of 9/11/2001. Women make up less than 1% of the firefighters in the FDNY (about 30 in a total of 11,000 active FFs), and more importantly, none of the firefighters hired since 9/11 have been women. As a volunteer firefighter who witnesses the bullsh*t of women thinking they're just as effective as men, I'm heartened by this. I'm interested in joining the FDNY one day too. If you want a male dominated department, you're welcome to join me.

Re: jobs with least women?
Don't go into law enforcement. Their primary job is enforcing feminist hate laws and beating up decent men. They back up CPS lesbitches when they go to a man's family and take his children. It's an evil feminist dominated occupation.
I once knew a man who ran a car repair shop. He bought his son a new corvette, and a 2nd one for his 14yo daughter even though she couldn't drive it. He had enough money from his car repair business that a 2nd new corvet was a trinket.
Engineering, construction, farming, manufacturing, any job where there is real work to do is a man's job. Females only accept jobs where they can sit around and gossip all day.

Re: jobs with least women?
I hear that brother. I have three female supervisors, all ostriches (see no evil, hear no evil...) My single-mother team-mate seems to be some kind of sociopath, spends her days shopping and chatting (when she's not whoring attention like a child).
I'm sorry to say it, but women really don't seem suited to full-time work. They have no loyalty and no serious interest in the tasks assigned. And who needs more distracting eye-candy? Not me, especially with sexual harassment laws as they are.
Now, there may be lesbians who are more able to integrate with the work world; I'd rather have them than airheads warming chairs for unearned paychecks.Feminism = Fear + Flattery

Re: jobs with least women?
One surefire way to find a job with a low percentage of females is to look for anything (seemingly) dirty, dangerous or lonely. Maybe a nightwatchman?

Re: jobs with least women?
If you want a good job that women won't touch, become a trainee Line Mechanic (Lineman).
I served my time as one a few years back, it is seriously hard yakka, working outdoors in rain, hail and snow and hot weather.
Good money, but the hours are a bit wonky.
You will also be working with voltages in the area of 230V-66,000V and most things in between.
We've tried to recruit women for years in this particular trade, we've never signed a single woman up as a trainee Liney.
I was part of an Employment Expo a few years back in town here, all sorts of places set up booths to advertise their profession.
Most of the female students went to check out the hairdressing or veterinarian booths, as well as the one that advertised law degrees at a uni.
Some female students did come over to our booth, but once they found out the work involved hauling power lines and climbing poles, they soon backed off.
Oddly enough, I happened to be talking to a male vet out on a dairy farm the other day after an electrical fault, he said that the veterinarian profession was in a shambles, he said that sure they get lots of female vets, but they only want to cure fluffy cats and dogs, in town, it is the men that cure the cows, bulls, sheep and other farm animals, this guy covers a very large area, as he is one of 3 guys doing the work of what should be 8 vets.
All I could think was what a load of crap, a vet is a vet, why should a woman be given the soft option?Last edited by MikeT; 4th-February-2008 at 08:36 AM.

Re: jobs with least women?
I would much rather work in an all male environment that the opposite. I really, really would. Of course it is not all a "bed of roses" working with guys as there surely can be, and often are, times when you feel you can punch a male colleague full on the hooter. I know, I've been there, but believe me, guys, I'd much rather have that than all the crap that comes with the female situation. Generally with blokes you have a much clearer idea of where you stand, and it's so much easier to sort out any disagreements or misunderstandings, full on, face to face, and as a rule once it's all sorted, that's the end of the matter. Of course there are blokes you don't like as people, but I think it's easier to adapt to a more equable working relationship with them than it would with women who either have "issues" with you, or vice versa. Women seem to pick on "vibes" much easier than guys do, or think they see things that may not exist - they simply twist it round in their minds.
Generally speaking the majority of disagreements or arguments, or differences of opinion are sorted out much quicker between males than when females are involved. Women bear grudges much more readily than guys do, and even when you think the whole affair has blown over the women let is all fester on and on for ever and a day, and when blokes have long since forgotten it all, a woman can chuck it back into your face months and months and even years later!
As for "skiving off and taking it easy" - women really do take first prize for that one. I've seen them take about half an hour to buckle down to the job first thing in the morning after all the chit chats with the rest of the girls, everything from last night's Coronation Street or the latest crap thing their boyfriends have done, while they guys have either sorted out some of their cockups from the day before, or simply got on with the job they are paid to do from the word go at the beginning of the day.
Misogyny is just as nasty as misandry, but it really is hard to avoid a lot of the time. It's made even worse by the fact that one seems to be regarded as a mortal sin, while the other appears to be a way of life receiving sanction from all quarters!
