What?!? Restrict a woman's right to do as she pleases, just for the well-being of a child? You ARE joking, right?

I was expecting a different punchline. Something along the lines of Teach a feminist to fish and they will ride a bicycle. Though now I look at it, that's not very funny.

Well, you said it. A blog post is not real life and she has a certain freedom of speech (more so since she's not in your country). Just drop it and get on with life. There are idiots of both sexes and your story sounds like it has little to do with misandry. Nevertheless, you are welcome here for what this site is intended for.

Some of the blocked sites aren't even about "the truth" or anti-feminism or anything political. Some of them are simply sites that support men in need. There could never have been an excuse to label them 'hate sites.'

I missed this: In common with most countries, the UK's minority gender is male. So, all men come from a minority background and should therefore have a presumption of favour over women. I would not expect a commercial enterprise to take "our side" but the very fact that they are realising that the commercial side is best served by not always towing the feminist line is wonderful. If the MRM keeps up what it is doing, we might well begin to see balanced journalism, where feminist lies...

I know felix will hate the idea of taking a leaf from the feminist language book, but I quite like a term I saw first in main stream media: "deadbeat mums."

Since female judges are slightly LESS likely to give women the pussy pass, and typically hand out sentences a little closer to the sentences for men, I'm all for female judges. Let male judges who want to stay in position hand out more equal sentencing!

Strictly speaking, you are right in the same way no man died in the war to gain freedom for his country. Soldiers put their life at risk in wars and don't intend to die. However, the willingness to volunteer and the willingness to accept conscription was directly affected by the promise to bring in universal suffrage. (Few people at the time seemed to question the idea that women would be given the vote but not be asked to go to war.) So to that extent, it is true to say that millions died...

Actually it was about 12 months after the start (in August 1914 for the UK) of the war before the volunteers ran out. From that time until December 1915 various 'tricks' and promotions were tried with incomplete success. In January 1916 the British government were finally forced, for the first time ever, to introduce conscription into the army (the navy had used semi-legal forms of 'conscription' for centuries).

We have many other members who also feel that debating with feminists is useless. Mostly, when we do engage in debate with feminists it is not to convince the frozen-minded feminist but to convince the wider audience that is listening to the debate.

I just stumbled over an article on Emily Davison and how the suffragettes claimed her for martyrdom despite having largely shunned her while she was alive. Emily Davison: Making of a feminist martyr As we know, the feminists later picked up the entire suffrage movement and claimed it as their own, including the criminal Davison. Unfortunately, the author is not as balanced as they might like to think they are: We are talking here of the early years of the 20th century. It was a time...

That is a very good article. It's great to see such stuff appear in the main stream media. Melanie Phillips does not even appear to be an anti-feminist, so it's great to see this kind of language and common sense coming from her.

The study I was involved with was run by a charity. No-one was paid to take part, not even travel expenses. The process was overseen by a panel who were incredibly detailed in their examination of all moral and ethical considerations; I sat in on one of their meetings once and was amazed at the level of care they went to in ensuring that no harm and no corruption was possible: very impressive stuff. the proportion of cuckolding>the proportion of non biological child who undiscovered>the...

Strictly speaking, any mother now living with a partner/husband could be said to be a 'single mother'. I do think we all need to bear in mind when we talk about the "single mother" problem that there are single mothers who had no intention of being such. Some are widows, some were abandoned by irresponsible men, some had their man put in prison, etc. We can't always be saying "mothers who intentionally, wilfully, or through gross negligence, become single." It is those women who form the...

What about battered men? WHY is the medical profession so uncaring about them?! Any medical professional who fails to care about the minority gender is guilty of abandoning his oath.

This is also a possibility: Women make such little effort at sport and the workplace that non-domestic injuries only account for 5 out of every 6 injuries. Think about it. If women were never injured at work, or sports, or even in road traffic accidents, then the statistic would be almost 100% of them injured during abuse. But that would prove nothing about abuse or the prevalence of abuse. In fact, despite the attention-getting headline and its implications, there is no link made between...

No, dearie, you are not "women" you are one woman by the name of Julia Gillard. The offense - which most people could laugh off - was not made against women but against Julia Gillard only.

I'm finding it difficult to completely condemn this action, since it was intended to have netted some filth that needs locking away/treating. From the headline, my reaction was "that's terrible" but if it had worked, was it justified? Admitted: FBI ran child porn operation

Welcome, J.P.. It is heart-warming to read of someone who echoes so many other men so well and is willing to open up his past so that other men might better travel their own. My own story is different but is a familiar feeling with me. Mostly because of an unhappy childhood in a broken home, I think I was about 27 or so when I finally reached a realisation that I was finally 'content.' I still don't really get what 'happy' is, though maybe I was happy when I had that traditional family...

People need to stop worrying who wears what label and get on with addressing the issues involved. Personally, I will work with anyone on an issue if they will help on that specific issue. They might be my antagonists or rivals on another issue - that's not important. I try to avoid self-labelling for this reason. It doesn't matter whether I call myself an MRA, masculist, masculinist, MGTOWist, Human Rights campaigner, etc., etc.. If I am willing to work with you to address a specific issue that...

I can't help wondering why the average age for divorce for men is around 44. Let's just look at this again. Women (why ask a woman when a man matures?) typically don't think a man matures until he's 43. Women divorce a man (most divorces are initiated by women) when he's typically 44. So who does a woman want to be married to?
