Considering how easily most of the English-speaking world falls over backwards to accommodate backward US slang, and not vice-versa.... and just because you have Hollywood movies and aircraft-carriers... demeaning another nation's pronunciation is childish. It's definitely not a way to win friends and influence people.

A common factor in news reporting in war zones around the world is to value the lives of women (and children coincidentally) far higher than the lives of disposable men. Envoys from the Femibeeb (BBC World) constantly question foreign politicians about the status of women in their country and are handsomely paid for doing so. When is it time...

Funny video. My name is Yan Yan. On my chosen tropical island, I live a life of luxury and privilege. Bare-breasted young women serve me a Gin & Tonic at the flick of a finger, at their own expense, no less, and say, "Here is your drink Sir." I never had to do anything serious in my life and I didn't bring any money with me when I settled here....

Yup! But marriage, community and extended family are not disparate factors. They meld into a continuous whole that ensures the survival of both DNA and common culture. Despite all our feeble attempts to build nations based on ideology, the tribal instinct still reigns supreme.

I didn't say "married", my friend. I said "men with children". Fatherhood introduces a new perspective. Men with children can actually STOP playing video games when their child is distressed. Unbelievable!! https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/patriot

Yes! my retired US Air Force friend says that all the time as he borrows money from other ex-pats to placate his greedy Asian wife! The Germans say "unt...." Here we say "Dayon..." (proceed). You confuse me Douglas. Do you mean to say that the millions of western women who seek divorce in favour of alimony, child-support, State-Aid and...

Very good thread with some meat to chew, especially on the export of feminism. In countries around the world where pro-female legislation like VAWA is being enacted, it is male politicians who want to be seen in a good light, but by whom? And why? Is it driven by the need to do business? Pakistan joined the VAWA club just yesterday! In my own...

Treaties to avoid war in the Continent are well and good but the 'economic merger' between France and Germany was a grave error and even more so for Britain to join it. What is not generally known and was skipped over by the media in 2006 when the 60 year Cabinet Papers were released (embargoed from 1946) was that France had approached Britain...

Indeed. Ultimately whatever happens to the world and society, with or without our input, we as individuals will be in it. It is our first task to sort ourselves out as you say. Assess; correct; elevate; value. A man's job in the world is to become a Saint. Becoming a Hero is a status often sought. Heros are needed but the title often...

The frogs have been in the water for a long time. The heat has been beneath for a long time. Many frogs are well boiled. I know of your work on linkedIn but I rarely use that medium. I have no career barrow to push and no need of contacts. nevertheless I get requests for 'linking' virtually every week. Sometimes several a week. Yet anyone who...

While I couldn't agree more with the perceptive Douglas, "should" is highly controversial. "Somebody should do something"is common comment from the inert and disenfranchised classes. If a man seeks meaning in life, he must see the world as it really is and act accordingly. Reliance on what "should be" has caused most of us here to think again.

English is English. Political and media corruption is tolerated briefly. Corruption of the language ALWAYS betrays an ulterior motive. If I don't like the implications of your English, I'm free to invent my own version. ????

Arguing with an ignorant person about circumcision is very similar to arguing with a creationist about evolution. All they have to do is disregard the evidence, stick their fingers in their ears and sing, "la la lah. I can't hear you!" Feminism works in a similar way.

As an opening (no pun intended) PUSSY is far too simplistic. I agree there Ron. Lana's Human Biology theories also have some merit but the socio-political consequences of encouraging women to avoid reproduction have been obscured by the smoke of Marxist-Feminist idealogy. The Scandinavian dream of equal professional "partners" raising a single...

Every single post here has carefully avoided the pertinent issue and title of the thread. Quibbling over various social and political systems which accord this or that man or woman varying degrees of power and control cuts no ice. Throughout history men have achieved wonders in the Arts and Sciences.... (but, of course, there's always the...

Jools !! Are you stirring the pot again, or just having difficulty sorting out your thoughts. You know where to find me.
  2. Hey girl, whatever it is, did you get it worked out? People come here and let their emotions run raw because they can, so it gets a little rough at times. Personally I was on the verge of leaving a while back after the site owner himself personally denounced me in a thread (I sort of had it coming). Know what? We settled it, publically, and now he's on my friend list and we like each other's stuff all the time. Shit happens. Hope you stay.
